Casa Eden - Modern Peaceful Jungle Apartments

Very far from beach and restaurants - home needs upkeep and modernizing ; very dark and moist

I believe this is one of the best places to stay when visiting Puerto Viejo, I'll definitely visit it again. On the other hand, the prices of food outside are increasingly higher, however this place has everything you need to cook, we Costa Ricans love to prepare food and share it at the table all together. The administrator let us enter earlier(earlier check-in) so we could leave our things and thus take advantage of the day we arrived, for me this is a big plus, the room was already ready, clean, and very cozy.

Although we were expecting mosquitoes, I didn't think there would be so many. It is important to acquire or carry everything you need to keep the mosquitoes away and not bite you.

I really like the area since it was in the jungle. Was super relaxing and the owner was very nice and helpful. There were bikes foe rent too. I felt like the place had all you need and was comfortable. Though there wasn't AC in the room I booked the fan was enough and it got cooler at night. There's also a large supermarket on the main road.

This is not their fault but mine. It's a good 15 min walk on a gravel road to this place from the main road. I was a solo traveler with no car so walking and biking out was tiring. I would recommend you rent a scooter or book this place if you have your own transportation.

Location.

Water was a huge issue. The water smells terrible. Something between sewage and rotten eggs. In addition it was salty. Communication between staff and guest was also a big issue. Parking is very tight and uncomfortable. I was concerned my car would be hit the entire stay.

There were some toilet issues but fixed quickly.

I absolutely loved the accommodation! It’s situated in the jungle, away from the crowds. Which I found perfect! It’s only a couple of minutes drive to the main road but yet you’re tucked away in peaceful jungle with lovely birds and other animals you will see and hear and the accommodation itself was lovely, clean and I loved the outdoor patio, airconditioning and half outdoor shower. For me it was perfect! Also the manager is super friendly and helpful. I would love to come back.
