Casa Eden - Modern Peaceful Jungle Apartments

I LOVE the location. So peaceful. Unit: I was in Villa Almendro. The private patio and outdoor kitchen were great, and the AC in the studio was perfect. Lots of room to spread out in this unit, and the sitting area was perfect for getting some work done. I love that plenty of drinking water is provided. As with most vacation rentals, I don't expect the kitchen to be stocked like I would have it at home, but I had everything I needed to make simple meals. I wasn't too sure at first about the bathroom being outside, but it never got buggy in there or too hot. Water pressure was amazing, and the hot water definitely gets hot. I had read in some other reviews about the water smelling, but I didn't notice that at all and I pick up pretty easily on scents. I imagine that must only come about in a rare instance if a problem were to arise with the filtration. That could happen anywhere. Staff: Lior was so friendly and helpful with everything, even before I got to Casa Eden. From great taxi recommendations to prompt replies on any questions to proactive info when the power went out due to a downed tree, he was fantastic. I'm blanking on the other staff member's name who cleans the apartments, as it's been 3 weeks since I was there and I only got her name once, but she was also fabulous. So friendly and welcoming in passing, and she does an outstanding job making the apartments gorgeous, with thoughtful touches like vases of flowers and incense to help keep the bugs away on the patios. The rooms were so fresh and clean. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not a dislike at all, but advice. If you do not rent a car, maybe consider a moto bike, 4 wheeler, or maybe at least a mountain bike. I had a beach cruiser that I had pre-rented from a place in town before arriving, and I got kind of tired (or maybe just lazy) riding it on the bumpy road after a week.

A room was a bit smelly.

The property is very private, you feel right in the middle of the jungle and fun animal friends could be heard around. A beautiful beach, supermarkets and restaurants are just a 5-min drive away. The kitchen was well stocked.

There was some maintenance going on right by our “patio”. The men working were very polite, but we would’ve appreciated a heads up, since the privacy of the common areas of the apartment was completely lost.

In the middle of the forest, close to wildlife but also cool restaurants and supermarkets near. Communication with the team was good.

The house was pretty new and really clean and comfortable. We liked the garden and surroundings with really tall trees.

The house is pretty closed to all the nature around. There is a high fence so you have just a small terrace and the kitchen was equipped with two induction boards, but it was impossible to cook on them, they were really weak. For someone who wants to stay inside the house with A/C on watching movies and going out for food and not cooking it's a pretty good deal!
