Chalet 77, Kings Chalet park,Cromer,North Norfolk.

Location was good, not far from the beach and not far to walk into Cromer.

The cleanliness of the Chalet could have been better. The shower cubicle had not been cleaned, lots of soap scum. Television covered in smears. White dining chairs chairs were yellow so I had to clean them. The bin lid was dirty. To be fair, when I telephoned Graham, he did offer to come and do a clean, but I had already done the essential. The Chalet could do with a good Spring clean and paint. Also an update, such as new dining table and chairs, which are very scratched, new blinds etc.

It was clean, comfortable and we liked the fact it had toilet rolls, tea bags and such.

We couldn't find anywhere to put the recycling rubbish (we looked near reception but couldn't see it and no one was there) also the toilet sometimes didn't refill as the thing inside got stuck but we figured out how to fix it when it happened so not a big deal.

Location is very good and as expected

Heat/smoke alarms would go off every 15 mins or so for no apparent reason. I was informed that this was due to the use of the fan heater. I therefore switched it off. As a result the accommodation was very cold over night. I booked this accommodation as gift (a weekend away for my 94 year old father). Due to issue with the alarms and cold, this weekend turned out to be a total disaster. I raised the alarms issue with the owner within 12 hours of arrival and I was told it was due to the use of the fan heater. This was incorrect as the alarms would still go off even with the heating off and the door wide open.. NEVER AGAIN. I note that the property owner responded after my comments - Let me assure you that the heating was not on full blast at all. There was clearly a fault which, given it was to do with safety/smoke detectors, should have been addressed before the property was rented out!! Yes I was offered two free nights and an additional night for £85, only to have the offer withdrawn (did another booking came in I wonder ?). Should you decide to book this place, I sincerely hope your experience is better than mine.

The chalet could be upgraded a little.

Close to City Centre, clean, tidy, very well presented .Well equipped . Comfortable beds. Info file enclosed, so helpful

Very little but the shower needs a bit of TLC & the door needs attention
