Great location opposite the park and a short walk to the castle. Little coffee shop nearby also.

This is a lovely apartment, excellent for a family or 2 couples. It is just outside the Lake District proper, about 20 minutes drive from Windermere. It is a bit less expensive because of the location, but we found it to be a good base for exploring the Lake District. There are also numerous amenities and shops in Kendal.

The smell of damp and cleaner needs extra Time or change cleaner and bathroom needs a serious upgrade

We had our cottage in Coniston cancelled on the morning of our holiday. We booked this cottage that morning in Kendal and it was perfect. It's an easy walk into the town. Merv was very welcoming. Easy parking and the cottage had everything we needed.

Great location about ten mins from town centre. Very cosy feel and room very spacious compares to photos. Lovely sitting room. Nice kitchen. Close to Kendal castle and literally across the road from a park! Highly recommend staying in Kendal as a base to explore. Very friendly area and easy to get to many places. Prefer Kendal to Windermere as friendlier local feel.
