Alfama T1 Travel

We arrived with train at the station Santa Apolónia. You can reach the apartment from there within a footwalk of 5 minutes, which was very comfortable. Also, only one flight of stairs must be mastered to reach the front door, and the luggage does not have to be carried through the steep alleys of the city. The apartment itself is located on the second floor and can be reached via very steep stairs, but rather cool than annoying! Check-in went smoothly via code. The apartment was more spacious than expected, the bedroom was separable from the kitchen / living room with a sliding door and from the bedroom you came into the very clean and quite modern bathroom. There were curtains to keep the heat out during the day, so it was comfortable at night (in September). Otherwise, the kitchen was fully equipped and everything else was also lovely furnished. The apartment is located in the very beautiful and quiet neighborhood of Alfama, you can sink directly into the cozy streets of Lisbon, many cute restaurants, cafes and bars are within walking distance.

The house where the apartment is located is quite bright, but at night it is very enjoyable because of the quiet neighborhood. Directly in front of the windows of the living room is a building of the university with a terrace for students, so it can be quite noisy during the day with open windows due to loud chatter. But that's when you're usually out and about anyway. With closed windows, you can hardly hear them by the way. Apart from that, it should be clear that Alfama is located at one end of the city. So if you want to get to the middle of the city or the other end, you can be on foot for about half an hour. Here, however, e-scooters are very helpful or you can just explore much of the city on your way. Plus, we were told during a city tour that Alfama is probably the most beautiful district of the city, which we can also confirm, so it's worth it.
