The Spot in Alfama

Margarida was an amazing host! Always friendly and available for questions. She went out of her way to send us personal recommendation for sights/neighborhoods to see and cafes, bars, restaurants to check out. And all the recommendations were great!

The location was fantastic.

The bedroom is awkward. there was no space on the RHS of the bed to walk around.

The location was perfect for us since we prefer to explore on foot. This apartment is on a quiet, yet popular square in the Alfama neighborhood. It’s up one flight of stairs from the street entrance. Restaurants, museums, fado concerts and markets are just steps away in any direction. Margarida was a superb host! She provided us with vast amounts of info and tips about Lisbon and the surrounding areas. She is an excellent communicator and the apartment was well-stocked before we arrived. The Nespresso cups and bakery goodies were much appreciated.

A small but very cozy and comfy flat with as much details as you can hardly expect. You can rely on the pictures. I felt like home. It was very quite at night even though the area is very popular among the tourists. Margarida was taking care of us during the entire stay- she prepared a warm and generous welcome for us, was in touch every day, suggested places to visit, gave some tips on the bars and restaurants nearby even left us some sweet presents for our trip back home. It was a pleasure to be hosted by her! Greatly appreciated

We spent 5 nights at the spot in Alfama in February this year. It was a great place to stay to introduce oneself to Portugal and see the best of Lisbon. Margarida was a wonderful host and was helpful but in no way intrusive. The apartment was comfortable, convenient and had all amenities. We enjoyed our stay. The apartment is close to many restaurants, shops and cafes and is well equipped if you decide to eat at home. All in all a great stay

Nothing. Everything was perfect

Location is great, right in the heart of the old town of Alfama, close to restaurants and the river and very quick and easy to get to the Metro and trams. Despite this it is very quiet, we had no issues with noise at all. Margarida is a fabulous host, so communicative and helpful and keen to please. Coffee, biscuits and popcorn were all much appreciated! The flat is small but great for a couple, with very good kitchen facilities. There is a powerful shower and no shortage of hot water. There is also a great little bakery selling yummy pastries and coffee just a couple of minutes away which we made full use of! We spent 4 days exploring lovely Lisbon and felt like we really got to know it.

Bedroom is quite tight for space.

A super cute apartment in the most perfect location for visiting Lisbon!! Margarida truly exceeded our expectations, the best host we've had so far!! She left the apartment fully stocked and was kind enough to help us out with our bags when we went to Sintra, share tons of info with us, even leaving us with sweets for our trip to the airport! We couldn't ask for any better or recommend this spot and the host enough!

Amazing hospitality and helpfulness from our host Margarida. She checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and offered great recommendations for things to do. Easy check-in, she met us when we arrived even late on New Year’s Eve. We loved this location in the Alfama. Easy walks to cafes, fado bars, the castle, and center of Lisbon. sweet, small one-bedroom apartment with coffee, snacks, and everything we needed. thank you!
