The Spot in Alfama

We absolutely loved our stay at The Spot ain Alfama. Margarida was a fantastic host. She gave us some great recommendations for restaurants, shopping and local attractions. When we arrived she left us some goodies as well as coconut cookies that her grandmother had made, which were delicious and also left a bottle of wine which was so kind of her. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. It was also very central, great for sightseeing and restaurants. Highly recommended

I loved everything about it!!!

Perfect location to explore the old district of Alfama. It was walking distance to Rossi station with convenient train service to Sintra, and Fado music was offered in the evenings by restaurants all around the area. The apartment itself had a comfy bed, kitchen, and windows overlooking the square. Our host, Margarida, was incredibly helpful and kind. She had some treats waiting for us when we arrived. She provided us with information and recommendations, and she messaged us throughout our stay to make sure we were enjoying our stay.

Our only inconvenience, and it was minor, was a shortage of storage space for luggage, toiletries, etc. The pictures made the space seem bigger than it was, but we managed just fine.

The location is just perfect and walkable to almost all sites.

Everything is perfect, the flat is in good size with full kitchen and washing machine. Located in the centre of Alfama meaning you can walk to most places in 20 mins (uphills and downhills of course). The host is just amazing, provided a lot of local information.

We may not be able to book it again when we come back because it’s sooo popular!

Well firstly, Margarida was exceptional. She was there to greet us with a lovely demeanour. She had laid out so many snacks and drinks for us! More coffee than you could ever need! She messaged us throughout with recommendations and every recommendation she had was amazing!! She recommended some really great spots. The place was spotless, it had every amenity you could think of and Margarida thought of absolutely everything you would need for a stay! The bed was comfortable and the space was made us feel right at home. The Location was superb, it was lively but if you wanted quiet the windows were sound proof! It was an incredible atmosphere. Later into our stay, Margarida left a bottle of wine, chocolate and a postcard for us…such a kind gesture. She really went above and beyond!! I cannot wait to come back to Lisbon and i will absolutely stay here when i do!!

Location in a central historic area, very lively atmosphere. Felt very safe even in the evening. Our host’s communication and quick responses were appreciated.

The AC worked on warm evenings, but still quite warm at night.

The apartment was centrally located in Alfama and provided easy walking access to explore the beautiful and historic community. It is cozy and perfect for 2 with all the amenities you would require, including 2 fan units. Our hostess Margarida was exceptional and provided us with excellent restaurant, tourist destination and shopping recommendations.

We liked the location in the heart of Alfama. Our room was cozy and had everything we needed. The neighborhood was so friendly and our property manager was so lovely and could not do enough for us.

The host/hostess were exceptional and incredibly helpful and went the extra mile to ensure we fully enjoyed our stay. You are really in the centre of everything at this property and we had a great 4 night stay. Everything is thought of in terms of equipment and how the property is organised, very nice powerful shower no real complaints at all

The bedroom is small but the rest of the apartment living areas and bathroom make up for this

Only thing was with the temperatures experienced in Lisbon during our stay, it would have been good to have air cond
