The Spot in Alfama

Super cute, super homey, great location in the midst of everything. Margarida was the best host. So many personal touches. Wine, pastie da nada, croissants, water, apples, coffee.

The place is really cozy and centrally located (in the heart of Alfama) but probably the best trait of the place is its host, lovely Margarida. She went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, from tips on where to eat or what to visit to actual (delicious) treats :D It felt like I was staying at a friend's place! Thanks a lot!

Our stay at the charming apartment in the heart of Alfama was truly delightful. The apartment, though small, was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, capturing the essence of the neighborhood. Its central location made exploring Lisbon a breeze, with key attractions just a short walk away. The host Margarida is exceptional—always present and attentive, radiating positive energy. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel incredibly welcome with thoughtful gifts and an abundance of local tips that enhanced our experience. She had already anticipated every question we might have, ensuring we were completely at ease. Her availability and willingness to assist at any time were beyond expectations, making our stay smooth and stress-free. A small note: the bedroom is on the smaller side and can get a bit warm. While the host provided a cooling machine and we kept the windows open, the lively nature of the neighborhood might make it tricky for light sleepers to rest well. However, we weren't affected, but it's something to consider. In summary, this apartment is a perfect choice for anyone looking to experience the charm of Lisbon, with the added benefit of an outstanding host who truly goes above and beyond.

The host was exceptional. Welcoming, communicative, kind, present, I really don't have enough words to say just how fantastic they made our stay. The location was also amazing, by two great restaurants and innumerable cafes. The space was comfortable, cool, and perfect for two people.

I don't think there's a single thing I could say was bad.

The place was perfect for what we needed, very clean, well located and the host Margarida went out of her way to make sure we felt at home. We definitely recommend it!

We loved our stay in Alfama. Our accomodation although small, was perfect for us. It had everything we needed and was was very well located. The best part of our stay was Magarieta, she couldn't have been more kinder or more helpful. She gave us so many tips for our stay, plus tips for our other stays in Portugal- she even drove us out to the airport when we left Lisbon.

The Spot in Alfama is dead center on the main plaza in Alfama, and could not be in a better location to experience all of the old world charm Lisboa has to offer. Our host, Margarida, was just amazing. It was like we were visiting family. She met us when we arrived and toured the apartment for us and even left us some goodies including homemade cookies from her grandma. She also messaged us daily to check in and give us suggestions to experience all that Lisboa at its best. The apartment is cute and had everything we needed for our stay. Definitely would recommend it for anyone wanting the old world experience in Alfama.
