The Spot in Alfama

Margarida is a perfect host! She gave us an incredible welcoming and many suggestions and info to have an incredible stay. The apartment is cozy, clean and in a amazing location in the hearth of the city! Many restaurants to have brunch, lunch and dinner.

The house is well equipped and well located. Closed to the coast for morning run. Margrida was a great host and introduced me to the local restaurants and tourists’ spots. It was a pleasant stay.

I absolutely loved my stay at this cozy little apartment in Alfama. The location was perfect—right in the heart of Lisbon’s most charming neighborhood, with everything just a short walk away. It was super convenient for exploring the city! The apartment itself was warm, comfortable, and full of charm—exactly what I was looking for. What made the stay even more special was the host—she was incredibly communicative, friendly, and helpful from start to finish. She went above and beyond to give me amazing local recommendations, from restaurants to hidden gems all over Lisbon. Her tips really made my trip unforgettable. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a cozy stay in a fantastic location with a truly wonderful host!

An extremely cute apartment located centrally in the Alfama district, close to many attractions & good restaurants. The host, Margarida, is one of the nicest and most thoughtful hosts I have ever had at a property, from the first meeting at the apartment to providing recommendations & tips for visiting Lisbon throughout the stay. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an exceptional place to stay in Alfama.

Location and vibe in the area.

Quirky and cute.

Centrally located in Lisbon, quiet, clean, close to castle, place du commercio and many great views over the city. Great host, friendly, always willing to offer tips for places to visit and some pastries/wine to enjoy on arrival too!

Nothing not to like. A bit tricky to find as a few different units in the same block. I think my error as due to Australian SIM card, couldn’t phone or message host until connected to wifi (inside the apartment..).

The apartment was perfect for my stay. It was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The location in Alfama was great. The area is lively but the apartment very well soundproofed. Margarida was an amazing host! She truly went above and beyond and it really made a difference in my overall experience of Lisboa.

The apartment has everything you need, is in an amazing location, and just perfect. There are restaurants/Fado close by but nothing stayed open too late. There’s shops, bakery, bars and everything you’d want from Alfama right on your doorstep. And Margarida is amazing. She’s there if you need her for anything and is so very welcoming.

Perfect location! Lovely neighborhood, numerous shops, restaurants, bistros, cafe's in historic area. Numerous historic sites within 1 mile walking, etc. Margarida is an awesome HOST! She is very attentive and helpful and provides unlimited support and amenities. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and spoiled.

This property is not accessible by vehicle or car so you must walk 100-200 yards up hill to get to the apartment. The bedroom is small with limited room for suitcases or luggage, but the other amenities are all very quaint and sufficient. You will feel apart of the community and culture.

We loved our stay at The Spot in Alfama. Our host was amazing. She was so welcoming and helpful. Responded to all our inquiries and requests quickly. The location is fantastic. The apartment was clean, well stocked with everything you needed, and the bed was very comfortable. We highly recommend making this apartment your base while in Lisbon.
