Top Alfama Appartment

Nice host Luca, very quick responses. Kitchen well equipped (Nespresso, kettle, salt, tea, coffee).

The location of this apartment is terrible; so many people peeing around you that you feel you live in the middle of the public toilet. The smell in the apartment and especially from the bathroom - absolutely unacceptable.

The property is located in the heart of the historic Alfama district, which has a unique charm. On Friday night, there was a lively and pleasant atmosphere in the neighborhood that added to the cultural experience. However, future guests should be aware: “Beco” means a narrow alleyway inaccessible by car. Reaching the property involves climbing a lot of steps, either uphill or downhill. The easiest route is uphill via Rua do Terreiro. I really wish the host had shared this information beforehand—it would have saved us a lot of confusion, especially with luggage.

Unfortunately, our stay was severely impacted by a non-functioning air conditioner. Although the host did send a technician, the issue wasn’t resolved during our stay. This led to an uncomfortable night, which significantly affected our overall experience.

Apartment was in a brilliant location! Around so many great local restaurants and bars. Can walk to all the local attractions / Tram28 also runs through Alfama so easy to hop on those if needed. Nice little living room. Aircon was broken in the living room but the owner made of aware straight away and got it sorted the next day! Kitchen has everything you need for a few days stay - fridge, freezer, hobs, sink etc. Good wifi. Owner was very responsive! Would recommend if you’re staying in Lisbon.

Very steep stairs to apartment - not really an issue for me and my partner but something to be aware of if you have any mobility issues! Bathroom is quite small but not too big of an issue if you are only staying a few days.

Location in Alfama district (we found it very quiet at night) close to interesting areas and small local restaurants. Lounge bed conversion

Difficult to find (we walked from the Santa Apolonia station and were directed up a convoluted long path with google maps, yet once area was known, found a very direct route with only one hill going up). Would recommend clear instructions on finding this BnB. Instructions on using TV were missing but Luis responded to this query with speed. Window opening to very small balcony.

Lovely little apartment which has been modernised and was super clean. All necessary amenities for a short break.

It is small which was fine for us - but totally fine for a few days away if you aren’t planning on spending a lot of time in the apartment.

The apartment was fantastic and perfect for 2 people. Comfortable, clean and had lots of natural light. Louis was very prompt with answering our queries when we had questions which was very helpful. Location was close to a few tourist spots and there are restaurants nearby and not too far to walk to the seaside and also walkable to a lot of tourist attractions.

Just be mindful that the Alfama area does have quite a few steep streets and steps, and the apartment is on the first floor and does not have an elevator, so do expect to be carrying your luggage up some steps.

Perfect spot for anyone seeking a charming and cozy escape. The location is perfect for peaceful retreat but close to shops, restaurants and attractions. Communication with the host was flawless. Thanks Luis!

Maybe steep stairs and low ceilings in the hallway of the building as I'm tall 🫣 but it's general style in old buildings.

Very Clean & Comfortable secure bright Flat. All facilities needed are supplied, Iron, Washing Machine, Toaster, etc etc. Location is perfect for everything !!
