Top Alfama Appartment

The apartment is located in a quiet part of Alfama, nearby of lots of restaurants and small markets. Completely equipped for longer stay. It is perfect for two, but has enough space for four. In the kitchen you have everything that you need. Wifi works perfect. Bed is comfortable. Check in is very easy with code for entering. You don't have to worry about keys. Host responds on your question just within a few minutes.

Apartment is on the second floor with very steep stairs. Not suitable for people with disables. The bathroom is a little bit incapacious for people 180cm and more. High people have to pay attention not to hit the head on the stop between kitchen and living room.

Location is perfect as long as you can do stairs - if you don't then Alfama itself would have been a challenge, unless you hire tuk tuks. Fado restaurants everywhere. Love how we explored the entire Alfama hills just by walking, beautiful sights will just appear without searching every 30 seconds. Apartment itself is beautiful. Equipped with espresso machine, working and clean fridge and freezer. I love not having to carry keys around worrying that I will lose them. Surrounding neighbourhood feels friendly and busy so no need to worry from a safety point of view. Host very easy to reach and very helpful and friendly. Stress free check-in.

Only small things, very personal, not applicable to all, if I could give 9.5 I would but these made me give 9 instead of 10 1. stairs are very steep and narrow not just normal height, I actually love it as feeling very vintage, but one of the panel feels slightly loose and could do with stabilising/ super-glueing, so not suitable if you have a big heavy suitcase with you/ just had any lower limb injury/ surgery 2. The kitchen is almost fully ready except the non-sticks were quite scratched which is a disappointment for those who wanted an apartment so they could enjoy cooking with local fresh ingredients. However we managed with a stainless steel pot from the apartment.

Comfy apartment with everything we needed

Great location. Right in the city. Walk around the corner for several Fado bars, no 28 tram just up the hill, or a few minutes walk to the cathedral. The apartment was perfect for us, very compact but big enough for 2, everything you needed but not too much to feel cluttered. We really enjoyed our stay here, thank you.

The appartment is really small. It is definitely suitable only for 2 people. The shower not working properly. The bathroom extremely small and uncomofortable.

Quiet, comfortable beds and pillows, excellent location (in the best neighborhood).

The apartment is fantastically equipped, with every imaginable thing we had in mind. The apartment is spacious with multiple rooms. Visitors should know that Alfama is one of the city's party districts. Although the apartment is located in a slightly secluded area, the music plays at night, and when it's over, the cleaning begins with the loud dragging of trash bins. On weekdays, renovation work starts around 8 in the morning in the neighborhood, with hammers and angle grinders.

It can be quite a challenge with larger luggage. Although the apartment does have all the necessary amenities, I would not recommend it for individuals weighing over 100kg as the shower is quite tight (I myself weigh 95kg).

Comfortable apartment excellent location. Only one friend, low beam between kitchen and lounge, which was a challenge for my 6ft4 husband. Bathroom was compact. Comfortable bed and sofa. Great for what we needed.

the steep stairs, the tiny bathroom with leaking and noisy plumbing,the noise outside as it was during the month long June El Fama festival, dangerous changes in levels of apartment flooring and tired furniture etc
