We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 days in this historical city. If you are looking for an apartment in the older part of Alfama at a bargain price, then this is the place for you. Fully equipped clean apartment.. plenty of room for 2 people. Close to many restaurants and little stores. As are most rentals in Alfama, it was a little hard to find the apartment on foot (streets are too narrow for vehicles) but the people are friendly and a gentleman helped with our luggage and took us to our door. Another plus was having a washing machine in our apartment.... hanging out clothes to dry off the veranda as the locals do was fun. The owner Luis came by on our last day and helped us with our luggage to the square where we proceeded to get an Uber to our next stop in Portugal.

The only negative thing for us was the stairs going to our apartment on the second floor. If I didn't have mobility issues with my knee, I wouldn't complain.

A real feel of the old town living! The apartment is in the heart of Alfama, a few minutes away from the Sé de Lisboa and Miradouro de Santa Luzia (great view over the city and the river!) and a walking distance to Praça do Comércio. The apartment is nicely decorated, comfy, and has all the needed amenities. There's a small grocery store not far from the house. We enjoyed our stay in Lisbon!

Not a complaint, just wanted to mention it: be aware that taxis are not allowed to enter some areas of Alfama, including the one where the house is. Our taxi stopped near the Fado museum and then it took around 3 min to get there on foot. The area is hilly, there are stairs. We haven't had heavy bags, so for us, it wasn't an issue.

The host was very helpful and friendly even if i was fooling around drunk.

Nice flat in a quiet neighborhood. Has all the necessities. Plenty of restaurants within a brief walk. Super comfy bed.
