Host & Stay - West Cliff View

Very nice apartment, open plan and spacious. Two decent sized bedrooms spaced well apart.

Being hit for insurance 9 days before arrival. This should have been mentioned when paying for apartment months earlier.

Modern and good equipment Flat in a very good location.

I received an email giving the location of the lock box, the code and a telephone number if needed. It was easy to access the property after a couple of attempts to open the box.

The location

No parking pass left. When raised with the company, 20 minutes on the phone, received a message the following day at 11am to say left in lock box, but parking is free after 6pm so it didn’t matter. (No apology) The property was filthy. Cooking utensils and equipment were unusable. Dishwasher tablets left (with no dishwasher) The shower grout was black. You have to walk into the shower to turn on. Took around 30 minutes to heat up. The lock to the front door was used by guests in other properties. Was locked out at one point during the stay. Some times the lock was left open. The property felt really insecure, particularly as a ground floor property. Have submitted a complaint (will respond in 7-10 days)

Shower could not be accessed while fully clothed getting temp right pluss there was no hot water in kitchen or bathroom even after running the hot tap so did not use shower just in case it was cold as would have had to stand with no clothes on glass could be better at other end of shower pluss no hooks in bathroom to put clothes or shelving pluss tv not programmes to watch freeview do not have accounts for apps
