Stunning Scandi Style Room Overlooking Lake Wanaka

Spotlessly clean, lovely garden and quiet location.

No sink in the little kitchenette so had to wash crockery and cutlery that we used in the bathroom sink.

The room is located in a private house just out of central Wanaka but only a 5 minute drive to cafes etc. the room was beautifully decorated with a luxurious bathroom . Peter and Sue, the hosts, are lovely people who made us very welcome. The room was stocked with fresh milk, a variety of teas and a jar of coffee. The bed was super comfy and there’s Netflix on the TV if you need it. The highlight was relaxing in beautiful reclining deck chairs in Sue’s beautiful English garden with a glass of wine and a good book. Thank you guys, we had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it to others for something a bit different but so very comfy and cosy.

Clean attractive small studio property with pleasant and welcoming hosts. Stunning views and nicely decorated.

It is more like a high quality hotel room than a home. To describe it as having a kitchenette is stretching it. There is no kitchen sink, no oven or hob and not a single saucepan or fry pan. As Sue the host told us cooking on the premises is actively discouraged. Any washing up (obviously limited as indicated above) has to be done in the bathroom sink which has a very badly placed pillar tap - not expected or hygienic. For anyone who is happy with these arrangements it’s an excellent place.

An imaculate & very interesting studio apartment - it was like we were the very 1st occupants! The studio is located in a peaceful, beautiful area of Wanaka. Our host & hostess were very friendly, hospitable & helpful. We loved the fact that not only their house & studio, but virtually all of the furnature & fittings had also been made, with very fine detail in some cases by the host & hostess. They are inventive, skilled, & industrious people.It was great to stay there & we intend to return next year.

Very comfortable bed & pillows. A lot of thought had been put into the room & bathroom. Very nicely decorated. Warm & cosy. Very tranquil place to stay. Lovely host. Came & said hello, but was very respectful of my privacy.

The air freshener was a bit overwhelming.
