The location was perfect for a stroll down to the Harbour or beach and great for a hike up the steps to the Abbey. The guys running the accommodation gave us parking permits for zone W which we picked up in the morning so all we had to do was find a space (not the easiest on Goth weekend but we got there early). The room was fab, everything was clean and the bed very comfortable. Blackout curtains made for a decent lie in and there are plenty of eateries in the locale offering various menus. Altogether very enjoyable...personally recommend the bath with a bath bomb and a glass or two of wine 🍷 😀 👌

Location was perfect, room was lovely, great shower and bath. Room was lovely and warm and temperature was easy to adjust.

The listing needs to be updating to reflect there is no longer a bistro below the property - but plenty of similar places nearby. Listing should be updated to show no wifi.

Location & it was clean

I don't know where to start really. Booked the Parisienne Room & a table in the Bistro below for my husband's birthday meal. I started to worry when no-one would reply to my messages on booking.com during the week of our arrival. On the way up to Whitby I rang booking.com as I saw a Facebook post saying the bistro had closed down & i was worried about the accommodation too. They apparently rang the owner who said the accommodation & bistro booking was fine. Got to Whitby, Bistro had shut down - had to scramble round to find somewhere else to eat for my husband's birthday meal that night. Accommodation still available but was very cold, looked derelict from outside. Room was ok but very dark, not like on the pictures. No WiFi as stated as the previous owners had disconnected it. Just didn't have a nice feel to it at all. I'm so annoyed that booking.com & the bistro owners didn't inform us that it had shut down & that the accommodation had changed ownership. The reason we booked it was because it had a bistro downstairs. Really bad communication & clearly the agent I spoke to lied about speaking to the new owner.

Great location and decor theme was brilliant. Plenty of parking close by.
