Couldn’t figure out the problems with TV in lounge room.

Very well set up single unit, very comfortable bed with electric blanket, only complaint would be the air conditioner is not adequately sized to warm the whole place and it stopped sometime during the night so the apartment was cold in the morning.

Beautiful views, cosy, comfortable, well appointed with lovely welcoming touches such as bread and milk. Loved proximity to shops and the wonderful Lobster Shack!

As Bicheno Bell is a self contained one bedroom unit integrated into the main house, you would think the owners would make some effort to ensure their noise did not interfere with their guest’s quiet enjoyment of the premises they have paid for. Not so. The amount of owner noise, consisting of loud talking and laughing, children constantly running up and down stairs above the unit and the accompanying screaming and bouncing of a ball, was nothing short of chronic. Clearly, no effort has been made to sound proof the unit as we could hear absolutely everything that was being said through the adjoining door and wall. Upon returning from dinner after 9.00, a child was still making noise and ball bouncing was easily heard through the adjoining door. Had to pound on the door which finally saw the noise stop. We met our host upon our arrival and he very kindly helped us with our luggage and the heater had been turned on, but the love ended there. We felt disrespected. The unit itself was well presented with some provisions provided, but our stay was absolutely ruined by the owners.

Quiet location with plenty of space and breakfast included

Exceptional view and located close to everything.

The place is well-equipped, with stable hot water and a rich collection of travel information in the manual. The overall stay was very comfortable. The location is also quite good (but note that the house is on a hill, so if you don't drive and are carrying heavy luggage, you'll have to push it up slowly). If you have any questions, the house owner will reply promptly and assist in solving them. Red headlamps are provided, which are very helpful for watching the little penguins!

The egg cooker doesn't seem to stop automatically. When I used it for the first time, the water had boiled dry but it was still working. Fortunately, I noticed it in time. The instructions in the manual are for different brands. Based on the previous experience, I set a ten-minute countdown on my phone later.

For what we paid, our stay and breakfast was fine, no complaints in any area.

For a hot breakfast, a medium fry pan would be good. For older folk the front steps should be 35mm wider. The lounge seating for older folk is somewhat too low, far too difficult to get up from.
