Porta Galliera Apartment

Host was very flexible with Check-In time. We arrived earlier than expected and she allowed an early check in to leave our bags. The app they use for the doors works perfectly Apartment was beautiful. Location was perfect

No soap in the bathroom. It would have better towels

Close to train station. Small kitchen that had what you needed for small meals.

Bathroom flooded - shower is over bath and there is just a shower curtain now. From photos it looks as though there used to be a shower door which would have prevented flooding. Air-conditioning wasn't enough to cool apartment so we had to have windows open all night - bring earplugs. The location didn't feel that safe if you went out after dark.

Nice apartment. We stayed for one night before our flight. Near the train and a few minutes from the center.

Check in is a bit tricky. It took us some time but we managed to resolve it.

The noise during the night was awful

It was centrally located. Only 2 mins away from train station and close to city centre and all attractions. Communication with owners was very efficient. She let us leave our luggage early as check in was at 3 pm. The apartment was also clean.

It was in a gallery which closes at 11pm. Good thing we got our keys with us as we did not know about this. You have to open the doors via an app which is quite easy but till I got the hang of it I panicked. Airconditioners are automatically switched off from 1 am till 6 am. It was so hot that we couldn't sleep well. We were not advised before about this as we wouldn't have rented it out.. Towels are so used and discoloured and we only got 5 towels for 3 nights for 4 people. Also we only had 3 mugs, 3 glasses and no toaster. Definitely needs an upgrade in utensils.

Great communication with Grazia - she even let us store our luggage for a few hours at her place after checkout, which was super helpful. The apartment was just what we needed to spend one night. Good location just in front of the train station.

The apartment is inside a gallery that closes at 11pm, I'm not sure how we would get in if we got there after that time... and the self-checkin may not be the easiest at first. I slept in the open space and the noise from the streets kept me awake all night, unfortunately.

no aircondition - hard to sleep in the apartment, pure bathroom, no soap...always a lot of water on the ground, dangerous to have a shower there as it is not possible to have a shower without water on the floor. Not recommended during the summer.

The location was excellent for us, right near the train station

We had trouble accessing the apartment, the host has to know that not everyone has a WIFI connection all the time. so it was extremely difficult after travelling for 6 hours and find we couldn't get in. I had received a message the night before with instructions but these were useless unless you had the right phone, I messaged Gracia of the predicament, but still had to try and locate her when we arrived. Also the upstairs bedroom was hot, we had trouble with water leaking out of the shower, but were able to solve this.
