New loft in the heart of Bologna

The property is located in a central, easily accessible area. Everything was very clean, and the host was very welcoming. Unfortunately, we couldn’t enjoy the bed upstairs because I had an ankle issue just one day before our arrival and couldn’t climb the stairs, but the sofa bed downstairs was more than okay.

We stayed in February, and at times during the night, the radiators couldn’t keep up, making it quite chilly.

Lovely apt in a nice neighborhood. Kind landlady, easy to get in touch with.

Nothing I really disliked, but I’d suggest to add kitchen towels, kitchen tissues and extra virgin olive oil (instead of raspseed oil) and shampoo in the shower.

Unfortunately we did not like anything about the apartment.

The people in the cafe on the corner where we had to collect the apartment keys were extremely unfriendly. The bed was just a mattress on the floor in the 'loft' which we could not stand upright in as we are six feet tall! The stairs leading up to the 'loft' are steep and dangerously narrow. The washing machine was hidden away in a cupboard with no instructions on how to use it. There was no dishwasher, just a stone sink and no plug! The floor was concrete with no rugs and the daily noise from garbage being collected very early was most annoying.

Everything was fine. Spacious apartment with all the amenities needed, polite and helpful host and great location.

Host is the best! The location is very convenient and there is great food on the block if you don't feel like venturing out after a busy day.

The only thing you need to be aware of this is a true loft. Be prepared to walk up to a loft bedroom with lower than normal ceiling height. I'm 6ft tall and could not stand up straight.

The loft is spacious, was very clean, and has all the amenities you need. You can see that love went into renovating the place and we felt comfortable during our stay. The location is amazing and just a short walk from the city center (one of the reasons we chose this place). We drove to the property by car and found a parking spot just outside on the street. It is however worth noting that the property is in a limited traffic zone, which means you somehow need to register your car with the city to avoid a parking fine.

The bed is on the "second floor", which is a wooden platform built into the apartment. This means that the ceiling is quite low in the area where the bed is, and the bed is more of a mattress on a frame, rather than a proper bed. The A/C sits in the corner of the second floor, which doesn't really get the air circulating. We found that the apartment got quite warm during the day and we had a hard time cooling it down again.
