Great location in the middle of old town

Wonderful apartment in the center of Funchal. Lovely living room, very nicely decorated. Kitchen provides everything you need. Good bed in the main bedroom (we did not use the other bedroom since we were with two persons). Very nice assistance for check-in and the office available for questions during your stay via Whatsapp. We did make use of the parking facility which is really convenient (right under the next building). We faced some problems getting in (not the fault of the owner of the apartment, mechanical failure), but that was solved very quickly, contact was excellent. Location can not be beaten, everything you need (supermarket, restaurants/bars, harbour, shops) within 10 minutes walk.

You hear some noise from the streets when you are inside. Fortunately, this is only during the day. During the night the area is very quiet.

We loved the apartment. It is central to everything, modern, very clean also the company supplied a number of cleaning products which helped as we were there for two weeks. There are two supermarkets close by one just across the road from the apartment.also the apartment is very close to bars and restaurants so there is no need to hire a car. The apartment was easy to access. We were met by a member of staff who was really friendly and helpful. Madeira is a lovely city to visit there is lots to do and many interesting places and streets to investigate. I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment.

Host was waiting for us and took us to the parking space (that we paid extra for). Great central location.

The apartment is in the middle of the city and very close to the seafront promenade, you can easily reach some sights and shops on foot.

Toilet bowl could be a bit wider.

Very central but quiet, spacious, comfortable and pretty much everything needed there.

No complaints.

Good communication with the office that manages the apartment. Upon arrival at the apartment, an employee from the office was there to give the key and a tour of the apartment, which is beautifully decorated (better than expected). All the basics and more, are provided, including some fruit. We were initially concerned about possible noise pollution due to the central location of the apartment. We took ear plugs with us just to be sure, but we only used them 1 out of 10 nights and that was the first night. It wasn't too bad, but it's just what you're used to.

A second key would be perfect as we also wanted to explore the area separately. Having to fill out a so-called SEF form came as a surprise to me, we come from a Schengen country. Until now I don't know why I had to fill it out. Maybe because it is an apartment rented out by a private individual who has transferred it to an office? Some more information with the invitation to complete this form would be nice.

The location was really great, central, 20mt to continente. The staff was super helpful.

The apartment was small for a family of four. My son had to sleep on the sofa. I recall that there were to single beds, apperently there was only one single bed.
