The apartment is very nice and the location is very central.

The windows aren't good /don't close properly, there was a lot of noise from the street, the lift /elevator is very smelly and the smell permeates the building a bit, there was a €40 charge to enter the property after normal check in hours, there was a coffee machine but no coffee capsules and the beds were a little hard.

The apartment was wonderful. Just one or two suggestions; a towel rail in the bathroom and a toilet roll dispenser would have been useful; more crockery would have encouraged less frequent dishwasher use. This is a really nice apartment that is well maintained and centrally placed. The air conditioning is very effective and the standard of cleanliness is high. We strongly recommend it.

The property is located centrally within the Funchal old city, within walking distance to many restaurants, shopping, and multiple Funchal tourist attractions. The sitting room and the main bedroom are quite spacious and even have balconies. The kitchen was well equipped that, beyond the basics, included dishwasher, clothes washer and vacuum cleaner. The AC was in both bedrooms and in the sitting are, each with separate controller.

The main concern I had was with the security of the place. The locks on the main balcony door and windows are of very poor quality and it was possible to open the balcony doors, even with the lock engaged, by just giving it a strong pull. Although the balcony can be accessed relatively easily only from the neighboring apartment, it still is concerning. Some of the locks on windows would not engage, as the latches seem to have been bent (which again shows poor quality of the locks). Lastly, the lock to enter the building was not working properly (what's with the locks in this place?); it was difficult to turn the key to engage the electric lock, and once this eventually succeeded, it was difficult to pull the key out of the lock. Besides these concerns there were a few other inconveniences, e.g. there is not a single hook or bar to hang the towels or clothes in the bathroom, dull knifes in the kitchen, noisy main bedroom early in the morning due to street traffic (again, result of poor quality of windows/doors in this place), and dead batteries (some AC controllers and large clock in the sitting area).

The apartment was very clean, nice and well equipped. The communication with the owner was very easy The location is very central so you can visit a part of Funchal by walking. The marker, beach and bars are very close. Also there is a supermarket just in front of the building. We recommend this accommodation
