Montello Guest House & Apartment

The rooms are beautifully furnished and also relatively large. There was also a place to sit. The host was very kind and provided me with some information on current happenings in the city.

Reading the description, I thought that one could cook something in the kitchen, but that eventually did not appear to be the case. There is a kitchen, but it is only for consuming food not preparing. The internet signal was sometimes also quite weak in my room.

Large comfortable apartment.

Big room with wonderful high ceilings and interesting furniture. Nice neighborhood.

Self check in, spacious room, good location. I like the fact that I didn't have to relay on someone appearing at the property and exchange millions of messages to arrange check in as it happens at other BnBs in Italy. I prefer the lockbox option where I can just appear whenever I wish and can.

No mugs to make a tea or coffee. Internet very poor, only connecting at some certain points in the room. Streets are loud, bit I guess that's Italy... A little bit expensive for what's offered.

This apartment can be good if you are just for one night in Catania. The location is close to the central station and to the bus station. The usage of the fridge was included (haha)

The bathroom was extremely dirty and old: one morning I saw a cockroach there. When I booked the room, the washing machine was included in the price, however before my check-in, the description and the conditions here on Booking.com changed and the host surprised me by saying he would charge 5€ per wash. And you cannot cook in the kitchen. Sorry, but it’s totally uncool.

Beautiful big room, close the busstation ( perfect to explore the area). Super friendly host. Breakfast in a bakery/ bar down the street is very tasteful. The cannoli and croissants are delicious!

Amount of breakfast is limited to a certain price (€2.5 op) We always surpassed that limit and had to pay extra. That we did not expect when we booked room + breakfast. But overall we were very happy to stay here!
