Relax in a modern Cardiff home by the City Centre & Bute Park

Great location, very friendly and safe-feeling neighbourhood. Shops are located incredibly close with a coffee shop pretty much next door. Cutlery and Crockery all provided as well as soaps etc. The oven and shower worked well and there is a big fridge-freezer.

My only issue is with the heating. It got quite cold and there was no option to have the radiators on for longer periods (inbuilt system limited radiators to 2 hours before it turned off); the radiator in the living room also was either on a very low heat or didn't work. That was the only issue though! Everything else was great!

Convenient location near the uni and walking distance to city centre and Bute park. Apartment was reasonably priced and very clean. Free parking was prearranged and easy to find a spot nearby. Management were available to answer our questions and very helpful.

Apartment was very small and not what was expected from the photos. We were in apartment 3 and presumably the photos are of others in the same block. Once the sofa bed was out there was no room to move around and impossible to sit at the table. Furnishings and facilities were basic, a bit tired, but very clean. Beds were not comfortable. Thin walls and ceiling meant we had to listen to others talking and having s*x in the early hours. Claiming it's 'relaxing' is quite a stretch!

Parking was eas6. Location perfect for city centre and visitor attractions

Difficulty with mobile signal outside so I couldn't access the email telling me how to enter the property - but staff answered my call and solved my problem

The location is great and safe for exploring the university and town . Facilities are as expected. Friendly host. The price is good value for money for the space .

The sofa really needs replacing. The rooms needed new bedding. A bit on the noisy side. You can hear your neighbours upstairs and noises outside even with the windows closed . Very busy location during rush hours. Students everywhere at peak hours 😂

The flat had parking *on availability* - we were lucky you get a spot close by, but on a busy weekday you could struggle! Make sure you let the staff know your reg in advance. Location was great - didn't realise it was in centre of student area but felt very safe, on the doorstep to the city centre (<15 mins easy walk) and to Bute Park (<5 mins). Big Lidl nearby. There was a pedestrian crossing directly under the flats - the sound didn't bother me personally and my room faced the street (we were on the 3rd floor - note many stairs!). The staff were swift to reply - we had been given the wrong free coffee pods for our machine, these were replaced straight away when we were out. Cups do not fit so remove the drip tray! Bathroom was modern and refurbished, plenty of toilet roll etc and a heated rail above toilet (no warning stickers on so be careful not to grab it). Small smart TV. Wifi was free. Microwave also in the flat and a big fridge freezer. Oddly big for the space! Heaters were electric and on the wall, flat was very warm but windows opened to allow breeze in. Washing machine, hair dryer, and washing up facilities given, basic cooking utensils etc given.

There were a few things that were a shame - the plug in the sink had the stopper missing so we could stop water draining out. The shower gel and hand soap in the bathroom were swapped incorrectly. My mum did get scalded by the shower as it started off incredibly hot, I found it temperamental, but okay, once you did not move the dial. The shower head needed changing - i swear the little rubber nozzles were falling off as I touched them! There was a long rug in the hallway that we nearly slipped on as there was no non-slip mat, and the floor was laminate, so it was dangerous - we moved it. The tv was nice, but incredibly slow. It was frustrating at times! I don't think we found live channels, just catch up tv. The living space was way smaller than I thought, although it's not a big deal as you don't go on holiday to sit indoors. Both rooms were a nice size, my room's heater kept ticking endlessly and it drove me insane so i covered it with a coat. The actual square footage of the flat is much smaller than it seems, and I think I saw certain photos that were probably of the bigger flat. My bed was so uncomfortable that I didn't sleep the first night. It had a big dip on one side and clearly just needed replacing. I ended up sleeping on a spare duvet. The pillows were also absolutely wrecked and in big clumps - they are cheap to replace! I used a pillow from the sofa in the lounge/kitchen, as it was in one piece. The reviews of the sofa were accurate - it was like sitting on a piece of steel lined with a thin bit of leather. We sat on a duvet. Lots of the little issues in the flat could be resolved really quickly with a quick replacement, but the sofa issues have been present since 2023 or earlier! When we did get the coffee pods replaced, the flat door was left open, which was understandable concerning. Staff responded to this when I informed them, and there was cctv in the hallway so I presume they were able to deal with it.

Bed linen is time to change. It doesn’t look very clean & have torn hole on the quilt cover.

The couch was super uncomfortable

Good communication, lovely clean flat, had everything needed.
