Brockhurst Lodge

So much thought gone into making our stay pleasurable! The small touches were excellent eg orange juice, milk, tea, coffee, biscuits and more! So very clean too! One of the best properties I have stayed in. Thankyou!

Everything was perfect! If I had to say anything, I would suggest a sharp knife in the cutlery drawer please!

Very comfortable accommodation, exceptionally well furnished, well equipped and spotlessly clean, all very modern and thoughtfully prepared, the value for money is considerably stronger than every other offering in the area at the same time of year.

While outside of the immediate control of the owner, the parking behind the lodge was awkward with a medium sized family hatchback, forget about reversing in on the weekends as some very inconsiderate people repeatedly parked directly opposite the parking space on the very narrow street. Anyone with a larger vehicle may have to consider other parking arrangements!

It's a lovely little house on the main road, there was parking available, shops nearby and it's only a short drive to the beach or to Gosport ferry. The house was clean, comfortable and cosy. I really felt secure with the electronic door key.

The front door opens onto the busy main road and so the house is fully insulated and we didn't hear the traffic once we were inside.

Noisy road

The town house was fully equipped and very clean. The bus to and from Gosport Harbour is on your doorstep. Perfect. The parking spot at the rear of the building is made for English cars 😁 or foreign drivers with parking skills🤭. But it is yours and very safe. You need a car to visit everything you want to see and do, because there are no shops in the neighbourhood.

There was only one roll of toilet paper, but that is the only thing I could think of.

Absolutely spotless and great location. This host had really thought of everything and with a few tweaks would get a 10/10 all day long.

The kettle needed descaling, got a coffee full of white bits. The iron needed cleaning, didn’t realise until it was too late and it had left a brown mark on my son’s white t-shirt. Both things easily rectified. The parking spot at the back is clearly a bone of contention!! On day 1 as I pulled into the spot the lady from the house behind came out to “check” my parking as she needed to get her bike out for work in the morning- I couldn’t hv been closer to the wall. On day 2 at 9.35pm when we were all in bed due to a 6am start I got a woman from the house opposite banging on the door because I had a bike rack on the back of the car which stuck out so it was “dangerous”. So to keep the peace I had to leave my kids she had woken up and go out in my pyjamas in the rain and move the car onto the road. Such a shame because it’s a great location. Unless you have a mini I’d just advise people to park on the road to avoid disgruntled neighbours.
