Sultan Palace Beach Retreat Mombasa

The property is in an excellent location for those seeking peace and quiet, with a beautiful beach just a short walk away.

We initially booked a villa for a three-night stay, but upon arrival, we were shown an unclean apartment that lacked adequate amenities. One of the rooms even had a child’s bed. We attempted to contact our host, but she never responded to any of our calls. As a result, we had to spend the first night in that apartment. The following day, after persistent efforts, we finally reached the responsible agent, who relocated us to a better apartment. However, it still wasn’t the villa we had originally booked.

The place was extremely disappointing — it was infested with cockroaches and other insects. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly

The reservation was modified by the host and was given an apartment instead of Villa, the Toilet s didn’t have Shataf and cleaning was very poor. Dirty Blankets were in the wardrobe.

The host wasn’t very professional. Kept promising to call me back when I wanted to change dates but she didn’t and I had to keep calling her. When I arrived and called her, she mistook me for another guest. She asked me to wait at the gate for someone to come and show me to the property but the person was late & the security guards asked me to drive to the reception which I did. When I got there, I called to tell her that her guy was late, she admonished me that I should have ‘listened to her & waited at the gate’ which I found very patronizing. To make matters worse, the property has cockroaches & there was a huge one in the bathroom. When I left & went to a different Air BNB, a cockroach popped out of my suitcase when I opened it. Lastly, all the windows were open when I checked into the property and mosquitoes had gotten in. The house had not been sprayed down so I suffered through mosquito bites all night. I called Steve who I believe is the caretaker to get me mosquito spray but he said there was none in stock. Terrible experience all in all!

No communication with staff members on ground, there is not a reception desk area to seek information from. Phone numbers were never answered.

Amazing home I will come back. The ambiance and everything was on top

The Apartment was more than we expected, and the entire establishment is beautiful. Breathtaking. The Sea Is right by, the pools. The kids sections for slides. Wish we would have stayed longer, my entire family had an amazing experience. The host & staff are very kind. I highly recommend and will definitely come back! Thank you
