Sultan Palace Beach Retreat Mombasa

We had a wonderful stay, The staff was super nice, the rooms were spacious and the daily cleaning was spot on. Sultan has all the facilities we could ask for, views are magnificent , we would have loved to stay a little longer at this gorgeous place, will be coming back again soon

Our stay wasn't compared to any other,the views are beautiful the rooms are very clean and furnished beautifully, the beach is lovely, definitely worth it!!! We enjoyed our stay.

For us everything was great and we enjoyed our stay. The view from our room was superb, the place was nice and we enjoyed our walk on the beach in the evening, staff was fantastic and receptive with all our demands.

Great location, beautiful surrounding atmosphere, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great resot. Everything obout the hotel was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent services, apartment itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future 🙏 🙂

A bit secluded.

Sultan Palace Beach Retreat in Mombasa offers a serene and beautiful, making it an ideal destination for families wanting to relax. The expansive property has clean, private beaches and well maintained outdoor facilities, several swimming pools and play area for kids providing a peaceful retreat. The sea view and breeze was amazing.

During a recent family stay, which included children and an elderly member with mobility challenges, we encountered some issues that affected our experience. Despite booking a villa to accommodate our specific needs, we were assigned an apartment upon arrival. This arrangement necessitated the use of stairs, causing discomfort for our elderly family member. Consequently, we extended our stay by an additional day to allow for her recuperation, resulting in unforeseen expenses. Additionally, given the presence of young children and an infant, we had requested mosquito nets to mitigate malaria risks. Although the apartment was equipped with nets, they were not properly installed, and we had to properly mount the nets ourselves as the maintenance fellow was not available. The apartment also appeared to be in a state of disuse, with cleanliness below expectations, wasp nest built in the rooms and curtains, tables barely cleaned or properly wiped down, and one of the air-conditioning units was non-functional, leading to discomfort during the night. On the second day, we were offered the villa we had initially booked, however, the mosquito nets had been removed, and one room lacked the necessary fixtures to mount any sort of net. Again the maintenance fellow was not available. Prioritising the health and safety of the children, we declined this option. These discrepancies between the advertised accommodations and the actual facilities were disappointing. It is advisable for platforms like Booking.com to ensure that properties do not require upfront payments without providing guests the opportunity to verify that the accommodations meet their expectations. Bw warned that the inconsistencies between advertised images and actual conditions can lead to great dissatisfaction and disappointment during your stay. For anyone booking any stay in Kenya to avoid such issues, I recommend to withhold payment until after inspecting the accommodations upon arrival.

The place was spacious and offered a nice view of the ocean with the swimming pool also near by. There was also easy access to the beach

The place wasn't well kept with many faults around the home such as loose sockets, broken bathroom equipment, broken kitchen equipment. The house keeping made it even worse by being slow and sometimes unresponsive. The management was just a nightmare with little consideration for customer satisfaction. There was no washing machine despite the fact that it was a long stay.

The facility was near the beach and clean

We lost an expensive watch during the cleaning process and the host was rude and uncooperative.
