Host & Stay - York Terrace Apartments

We had a guest arriving for a family event and wanted her to stay near our house. This was the best flat available near us.

Our guest was elderly. Nowhere in the booking did it state that the flat would be on the ground floor. This made our guest feel a bit unsafe as people can look in to the flat's kitchen. Furthermore, there is a staircase leading to the bedroom which is quite steep. Quite tasking for an elderly guest. Another point was the building entrance, you have to enter a code to enter but there's no light. We found ourselves fiddling with the phone lights etc. Not nice, especially when it's raining.

I couldn't find the clotheshorse or hairdryer in the designated storage. 3 days in I found th clotheshorse under the bed but never found the hairdryer I would suggest that an inventory be taken of the basics be taken of the room confirming the equipment is where it should be.

It was our second time staying in these apartments, this one was bigger than our last one, which we preferred. It's a very nice flat in a great location.

No fans are provided, so the flat was sweltering in the heat. Furthermore, the hist was not communicative in the slightest. I messaged them on our first night asking where the switch for the oven is located as none of the ones we could see/find worked. They never got back to me. They also never told us that builders/workers would be starting on the windows of the bedroom on the morning of our checkout. We got woken up by loud scraping outside the bedroom, of which the windows were wide open due to the heat. It's a shame, as we might not book here again.

Nice and easy stay. Great location in a cosy little flat :)

The bedroom was a tight fit as it could only fit the double bed in.

Refrigerator broken. 32 degree heat outside. Food went off.

Easy and simple check in. Spacious living area.

Entrance to the building at the rear is not desirable, it smelt very bad throughout the building and the communal corridors were dark and dingy. Not enough cups/mugs for 4 people staying. Bathroom could have been a little cleaner for the price.
