Luxury Apartment Via Genova

The location is very good and close to central Palermo, the apt is ample and convenient for sightseeing and walking.

The apt is very close to the main street Via Roma which generates a lot of traffic noise during the day and night. There is a private bar/pub just outside of the apt window, and it plays loud music and makes huge noise in the weekend night. We originally booked the apt for 3 nights but could not go to sleep in the second night due to huge noise, so we'd have to leave after one night stay. The owner is not very good in communicating in English, and was unresponsive to our calls. Addendum: what the owner stated in the reply is not true. We didn’t move out of the apt on the second evening because we booked train and leaving Palermo the next day, it’s totally because of the loud music and huge noise that made us not being able to sleep. I attached the hotel receipt below to show that we had to move to another hotel - notice the date and time (08-07-2023 22:50) - that evening and stayed there for two nights (checkout 10-07-2023). We tried to contact the owner in the night of 08-07 multiple times before we moved out, but got no response. We finally got the owner next morning and notified her we had to leave the apt the night before, and left the key in the apt. The owner stated that she fully refund for the entire stay, but it is not true, we double paid for the night of 08-07 to the apt and the B&B Hotel we moved to.

The apartment was great! Very clean and comfortable for a family of 5 with 3 teenagers and close to the historic center just steps from Via Maqueda and Quattro Canti. Daniela was a great host. We were greeted with a basket of delicious goodies that came in handy for breakfast as well as delicious cannoli. Daniela also gave us great recommendations on nearby cafes and restaurants!

Nothing - everything was great!

This apartment is ideally situated in Palermo's historic centre, and hence great for exploring the city. The host's welcome and hospitality, with local specialities, is a lovely touch - especially after luggage going missing on our flight meant that we got to the apartment much later than planned. Communication with the host was very easy; she was always very quick to respond. The silent air conditioning greatly appreciated as temperatures rose and ongoing building work meant we had to keep the windows shut.

The location is super super central. The apartment was very clean and had all the amenities you need. Very confortable beds. Nicely decorated with a Sicilian vibe. Daniela was a great host.

One of the rooms has no windows. As we were there only to sleep it was ok.

The apartment is comfortable, great location. Moreover hosts are nice and friendly. They prepared a cute cot bed for our child.

The cleaning lady should take more attention while preparing the apartment. We found lots of dust (even on the bed tables) and the socks were immediately dirty. So we had to clean it ourself a bit more (especially cause we have a child). I hope it was just a bad day for the cleaning person and usually they keep it clean.

Breakfast was minimal but host brought some excellent cannolli for our first breakfast.

The flat was a little gloomy but that is to be expected of a place in the oldest and most interesting part of Palermo. It was in a great location.

Great location in the city center. Also close to piblic transport. Very nicely decorated room. The host gave good recommendations and was responsive.

There was some noise at night time coming from the street near by.

Daniela is a great host; she provided us with lots of tips for places to eat, to see, and how to get there. She was very felxible and responsive and provided some delicious goodies on arrival, which was greatly appreciated :) The apartment is comfortable and clean and conveniently located. It's right next to the historic centre of Palermo and easy bus/train connection to venture out (if you want to see cefalu or Mondello)
