Luxury Apartment Via Genova

The apartment is located right in the middle of the Centro Storico in Palermo but it is not noisy at all. It was spacious, very cute, there was coffee, tea, snacks all in all very well equipped. The host was very friendly, flexible, always available and gave us good tips on where to go and what to do. All in all I highly recommend the place.

No instructions/video on how to use the washer/dryer, since each brand is different, also you cant go out and leave it working (cause of the keys).. so do it during the night time.

The location was really excellent for visiting the city & for accessing transport & cafes. Practically everything is in walking distance as the apartment is right off Via Roma. The apartment has air conditioning and a lovely modern bathroom. The beds were super comfortable and the rooms all were quite clean.

The lighting in the apartment was too bright & stark. Not much natural light. The area for viewing the TV could do with a different layout. Getting in and out the apartment was not easy for seniors like us. Perhaps the key arrangements could be different. Separate keys for the electric control would help. The area outside the apartment contains al arge rubbish collection point with heaps of rubbish bags piled up there despite nightly collections.

Great location, near everything Palermo has to offer (especially its great street markets) cafes, shopping, historic center and 15 min walk to the train station! Daniela was extremely helpful; she met us to give us the keys and gave us a lot of good information about Palermo's markets and restaurants. The apartment is quiet and comfortable with everything you might need for a long stay.

The toilet seat was not comfortable and the restroom even though it is big needs to be more functional. The view from the bedroom balcony is to the back of the other buildings with no appeal and unfortunately the view from the front balcony is in part to big trash can bins that were for most of the time overflowing with trash bags.

We were warmly welcomed by the hosts who were good ambassadors for their town. The apartment was very spacious, comfortable, well appointed and conveniently located. We were able to walk to many places of interest and enjoyed nearby restaurants and cafes.

Unfortunately the property opened to a laneway that had several large overflowing bins. However it wasn’t a noisy place like other laneways and just beyond it were so many special places to visit.
