Casa Santa Sofia

Great apartment in the center of the historical district. There are some great bars and restaurants right outside your door and access to many of Palermo's famous sites. The rooftop terrace has beautiful views of the city and we enjoyed Apertivo hour overlooking the city up there many times.

The place is all and all great, there were a few things like issues with the hot water in one of the bathrooms being on and off and some dripping air conditioners. As many reviews stated this place does get loud at night. We thought it would be just the weekends but it was loud each night in the market outside, bring ear plugs or be ready to be up late. However I would still recommend this place as long as you are aware and prepared for music late into the night.

Amazing apartment in the middle of Palermo on a great street near the Quattro Canti. The living room/dining room was huge and great to be together in. There were two bedrooms with a loft above one room and a great couch for sleeping. (One of our group members was sick so her roommate slept on the couch but did not complain since it was so comfortable.) Kitchen was a nice size and the terrace was the best part of the apartment. We enjoyed both nights out there. Apartment was clean and well appointed and the host was very helpful with our check-in/key situation. I would stay again.

A little noisy at night but earplugs did the trick. A/C did not work in kitchen but it was no big deal. Loft room was too warm to sleep in but would be fine if weather was cooler. None of these things really bothered us as it was a great place to stay.

The spaces and setting are even more beautiful than expected. From the 5th floor the views out the windows and from the terrace were magical. The lift was easy for us to use and to avoid steps getting to the apartment. The owner made us feel very welcome We loved being in this central, lively part of Palermo with shops and restaurants. The young of Palermo could be loud celebrating on the streets but they were happy sounds. We would certainly return to this lovely space and recommend it to other travelers. Thank you.

The location was very central and had everything you needed, very homely and fantastic air conditioning. The host was very friendly, suggesting places to visit and eat. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the apartment was spotlessly clean. The terrace was beautiful especially in the evening and to watch the fireworks.

It was noisy at night with being in the central area of bars, it didn't bother us and we got plenty of sleep but if you need silence to sleep then you should stay out of the centre.

perfect location in the centre of old town Palermo. The apartment was spacious and well laid out with an amazing balcony that overlooked the roofline of the city. We were a family of 5 and had plenty of space. The hosts were really helpful and reacted quickly to any questions we had

Great location within walking distance to everything including the harbour. The host was excellent, provided lots of tips.

Location was awesome, host provided a lot of information and restaurant suggestions. Apartment was huge, well equipped, had large bathrooms. Views were great from inside and especially from the rooftop deck.

Music from nearby club was a bit intrusive late at night. More a minor annoyance than a major issue.
