Oh, that was such a sensory paradise for introverts. I was so happy to find a place to hide in Mirissa. The home is absolutely lovely and thought through. Everything is new and has so many facilities, i even spotted a blender for smoothies. It feels like being in a jungle but with all the facilities. Dialog simcard had 43mbps. I will come again next months for my digital nomad work and yoga sessions. Also = hot shower!!! and fireflies with black monkeys outside

Make sure to stock up with food before you arrive, but there is a fridge and stove. Also can take tuk tuk / scooter to the town

The place was super clean, with fresh bed sheets and towels, and the host hooked us up with a big water dispenser for free. It is located away in the jungle, right inside the host’s family home, and everyone was really friendly. The vibe was calm and chill. On top of that, the host also gave us extra towels for the beach.

One downside is that being in the middle of the jungle makes it pretty far from everything. Without renting a motorbike or a tuk-tuk, getting there is almost impossible. Plus, the place is full of ants and mosquitoes. Another thing that bothered us was the loud temple sounds in the middle of the night. They went on for hours and were really disruptive. Lastly, the room didn’t have a sink, so we had to either go to the outdoor kitchen or use the shower to brush our teeth or wash our face.

This really was a unique experience for us whilst we were in Sri Lanka. The property lies at the end of an elevated pathway that runs through the trees and leaves you, and the living area is slightly suspended in the forest. Your neighbours will be chipmunks and monkeys. The hosts were friendly and largely unobtrusive. The room has an attached toilet and shower and a kitchenette outside. Falling asleep whilst listening to the forest start to come alive was very memorable. Be aware that there is no breakfast or similar food provided, so you need to bring your own food or snacks. The walk to the main road takes about 10 minutes; from there, you can get a tuk-tuk into the beach towns just down the road.

Not a dislike, but be prepared to be amongst nature more than you would in other hotels/homestays. For us, this was a plus however.

A brilliant lodge with a lot of privacy, great for anyone that wants to get away from the busy areas but still enjoy mirrisa. the owner is really great, really helpful when it comes to renting out tuk tuks/scooters and helping with planning your time in the south. Definitely recommend!

A little bit difficult to find.

Very cozy stay in the middle of a cinnamon forest. The host also rents out scooters so we could get to the beach easily (which is somewhat removed from the house).

Just the kitchen cupboards could have been cleaned before our stay.

An amazing tree house located uphill, far from noises, and straight into the jungle. Amazing quiet place to sleep well and to wake up with the sounds of nature. Small kitchenette helps a lot, and the mosquito net around the bed is amazing to have in that area. Even though it is not close to the beach, there are tuk tuks near if you don't have a private driver already.

The host said he would give us some cinnamon, but hadn't done so at the end. Other than that, all was impeccable.
