Nicosia City Centre Sky Views Apartment

There is two balconies on each side of the apartment. The apartment is spacious and comes with a cute bathroom, bedroom and a living room/kitchen which offers the amenities one needs for short trips. The center is not far, but at the same time the apartment is not in the center.

The size and condition of the apartment were wonderful. Facilities on offer were great, and the air conditioning was spot on.The proximity to Nicosia centre was perfect, and the views from the front and back were stunning. After two nights, I really didn't want to leave. Once I received online instructions, checking in was straightforward. Landlord was very helpful.

Although I knew it was an apartment, I thought it was going to be in a hotel type building, maybe with a reception area. I had street viewed the area before travelling but had naively misidentified the actual apartment entrance. So after some difficulty locating the entrance, I had a bit of a shock when I discovered the tiny doorway! But it was fine... Be aware that the apartment is on the 4th floor, with no lifts, meaning access with your luggage, up eight flights of stairs, in Cypriot heat, may not be the easiest. However, the apartment and stunning views are worth the effort.

Up four flights of stairs which is tricky with luggage (no lift). Some of the sugar and bits were a bit old and hard. Would have been great to provide laundry detergent for the machine. The corkscrew was broken. Otherwise great!

The location was brilliant, just a few mins walk from the main Nicosia bus station, directly on the city walls so connecting you to both the old and new town in minures. The views were fantastic, with three balconies in the property giving you a choice of views and ability to chase the sun! The flat was nice, bed was comfy. We enjoyed having a kettle and kitchen (also there was some coffee and olive oil etc available for use). The host communicated well via email and Whatsapp and everything worked as expected in terms of receiving instructions for check in. Property overall felt like good value.

It wasn't as the level of cleanliness as I would have hoped, e.g. like you'd expect at a hotel. This is the only regard in which the property didn't quite meet my expectations. It certainly wasn't dirty, and all the linen seemed clean, but it also didn't feel like the property had received a deep clean in quite a while - quite a few scuffs and smears on walls etc. But ultimately it wasn't a problem and I think I would stay again, having moderated my expectations a bit! It felt like good value. We had a lot of problems operating the hob, some instructions would have been helpful. TV did not seem to work. The hot water needed to be turned on for about an hour to generate enough hot water for two showers and to do the dishes. The host said 10-20 mins would work but that wasn't our experience. Not a problem if you are not in a hurry. It is up four flights of stairs, which was ok for us as we knew in advance and are fit, but would be a bit much for some people.

I liked the location. The host was very welcoming, he made sure I had everything I needed. I was running the marathon, he let me leave my luggage in one of the apartments. I recommend.
