Salerno e le due coste

The unit that we stayed in (Arechi) was spotlessly clean and exceptionally well equipped with everything you would require including a microwave, gas hob, electric oven, kettle, waffle maker, milk frother, coffee percolator and all the necessary pots, pans, cutlery and crockery. There is also a dishwasher, automatic washing machine, washing swabs, dishwashing liquid and various other household detergents supplied. The bed was probably a queen in size and very comfortable with four pillows and the bed had a light duvet with additional bedding in the cupboard if so required. The bathroom consisted of a good shower at the end of the room and on the right hand wall was a large deep basin with plenty of counter spaces and above that a large mounted mirrored. Between the basin and the shower was a toilet and next to that a bidet. On the left hand side was a narrow towel heater and an upright cupboard. Hand soap was provided at the basin and in the shower, shampoo and body wash. The location of this unit is really excellent, that being approximately 150 m from the Salerno train station and just a 10 minute walk to the ferry terminal in the harbour (for day trips to Positano, Amalfi, etc). There is also a large well stocked supermarket an easy 5 minute walk away and, of course, the front door of this block opens onto a pedestrian mall that stretches probably 5 large blocks with shops and restaurants lining both sides. Our host, Dario, was fantastic contacting us the day before our arrival to advise us that our unit would be ready earlier than expected the following day and that we were welcome to check-in immediately upon our arrival in Salerno by train. The next day he messaged us again requesting that we contact him once we were within 20 minutes of arrival at the unit which we did. We arranged to meet him outside the block of flats in which our unit was located and true to his word he was there and took us through the security of the block and the features of the unit.

There is nothing I can complain about but if I had to make one comment it would be that the WIFI speed tended to slow down at night but was still absolutely useable.

The accommodation was in the center very close to the sights and the port. Dario is a true professional.

Host is so amazing !

We had a very pleasant stay at this apartment. It was very spacious and clean. The owner and the staff were nice and helpful. The location is perfect. It’s ~10 minutes’ walk from the port where we could access the ferry to Amalfi and Capri. Similarly, it takes ~10 minutes’ walk to get to the train station.

- We had access to the balcony, but it was not the one from the picture, much smaller, so we haven’t spent any time there. - Quite a lot of noise can be heard from the streets.

everything was perfect! the location is prime and the bed is comfortable. Dario was so helpful and provided us with some amazing recommandation during our stay.
