Petfriendly, Umdloti Beachfront Escape

The apartment was everything an more,great views layout was perfect it had everything we needed. Can't wait to book again 10/10

Location was perfect, unit was comfortable, inverter, Tv and Wifi worked perfectly.

Key Collection was an issue, they mistakenly gave me a remote and key which didn't work, had to call admin to come and sort out, partly my fault as the instructions were too long and intricate! The unit is neat and clean but not well looked after, stove top dirty, fridge is dented all over and the freezer shelves don't seem to fit, there are no plug points next to the main bed, there's even a bedside light but no where to plug it in! There is a built in braai but its not complete so unusable, quite a few of the cupboards are damaged and chipped and a motley selection of old clothes hangers was a poor detail. There is a strange pipe protruding from the wall in the guest shower and the main bed had a large cot which we didn't ask for? Also there is what appears to be a store room behind the TV so you can see the outline of ladders and tools as you watch TV? The faults above simply show a lack of attention to detail and management of the unit. If we were a large family who wanted to Braai I think we'd be seriously annoyed!

Early check in and ease of communication with the agency to get the keys. Constant interaction to try and resolve TV and Internet issues. Also the agency offered alternative dates for us to come back at the place for free to cover up for the bad / lack of internet and DSTV during our stay. On a positive, the rooms are big and views are great. Great indoor braai facility. The Kitchen is WOW. Well kitted kitchen and lovely to be in - Cooking in there was a breeze and pleasure. Backup Power supply ensured no break in lighting - 2 backup batteries!!! WOW. That was great! No load shedding there.

The Internet took too long to get sorted out. Evenentually the connectivity was on Internet speed of ONLY 15 to 20Mbps. DStv failed to connect o a smart TV and youtube buffered continuously. No Netflix or optional streaming services from the owner - even though I doubt they would work at such slow fibre spreed (The fibre speed test was slower than my mobile ISP - NOT ACCEPTABLE!). Also bring your own red meat, as the prices are ridiculous for lamb and beef - but that is nothing the property can do about it.

Amazing sea views

The place is next to the beach, very clean. Unlimited Wi-Fi. The caretaker was friendly. We did not experience load-shedding thanks to the apartment backup

One toilet paper not good. Can we add the wooden spoons to make pap.
