Carpenters Rest, Wighton Near Wells Next The Sea

Very comfy beds, well equipped, excellent bathroom. It was very hot during our stay Izzy put on fans in both bedrooms. Handy to pop into the pub for dinner. Very friendly staff and good food. Unfortunately the cleaners had let Izzy down and as soon as she knew she rang them and ( invited us for a drink in the pub) then turned up to clean it herself. We would definitely stay there again.

Unfortunately the apartment hadn’t been cleaned when we arrived. But not the owners fault.

The internal stair was exceptionally steep on a winder which as a partially disabled person was difficult. To an ambulant person no problem.

A beautifully presented apartment above an excellent village pub. The apartment was well equipped and so stylishly furnished - it was absolutely perfect. It has two genuinely double bedrooms, a very sizeable bathroom (HUGE shower), a walk-through kitchen and a nice little lounge/dining area. There is ample parking just a few yards away (the pub car park) and the food and drink in the Carpenters Arms (essentially just below the apartment) was fantastic.

Obviously, being so close to the pub, there was a little noise (mostly just music) in the early evenings but that was no problem to us... I guess it might be something to consider if you have young children who struggle to get to sleep.

The flat was great - the shower room was superb. Food in the pub was great too.

Pleasant accommodation. Nicely laid out. Food at restaurant good and very busy.

Stairs were very steep when accessing the apartment. It's quite noisy with little to no soundproofing, being over the restaurant.

Little touches like milk, butter, eggs etc all provided Beds very comfortable and good pillows

Music from the pub downstairs. We had two sets of intruders thinking the door was to the pub, perhaps a ‘Private’ sign on the gate might be an idea?

Felt like home from home. Had everything we needed and very comfortable. The welcome pack of Eggs, milk, butter and bread was a very nice touch. Great location for the North Norfolk coast and surrounding countryside. Excellent farmers market at the Abbey nearby. Easy to get in and out without having to enter the pub. Would definitely stay again.
