Studio Cervino

Self check in and check out system was very convenient. The property was clean and the sofa bed was very spacious and comfortable for two children. The space was rather small for a studio apartment and the shower area was very tight. It’s quite a walk from the train station but close to the bus lines and cable car station.

Very tight space for a family.

This neat well designed compact space was wonderful for a ski, mountain bike, hiking escape for 6 days. There is nothing we didn’t love about our stay. Quiet, warm, with a well appointed kitchen, lift and stair access, ski drying room, fantastic water pressure (and endless hot hot water). 700m easy walk to the main ski lift, and a hop skip and jump from the town centre without the noise and frenzie of tourists. Photos do not do this well designed space justice. The apartment faces a step hill and towering alps. Very private, back of apartment block, only 3 other lodges near by with no direct view. There is additional clothing storage outside along with table and chairs perfect for watching the playful wildlife that surrounds Zermatt. Dear, foxes playing with snow, hares… each day brought new wildlife to watch morning and night. Christophe is laid back, easy to converse with and quick to respond. Hand washing and small drying line had our laundry easily sorted. Stay here.

Would have loved a lamp for reading at night (only a ceiling light) and an egg flip. ☺️

- Functional apartment with most of the essentials - Near to Kirchplatz / Kirchbrücke, which are best spots to watch sunrise / sunset colours over the Matterhorn - We spotted deers and squirrels from the balcony, which was a pleasant surprise

- Suitable for a couple, proved too congested for our family of 4 - When travelling from the train station with luggage, do yourselves a favour and take a cab, as the whole path is uphill, also narrow and uneven at places (Note: Zermatt does not have those comfortable public transport buses that one gets used to in Switzerland, only dwarf vehicles of certain dimensions and specifications are allowed within the city limits) - No access to laundry facilities - Incorrect Google maps entry (shows up as Haus Follmi)

Had everything we needed

Check in was very easy and I appreciated Christoph's very prompt, helpful responses to my messages. The studio was clean and the bed was comfortable.

The 'apartment' is in fact a studio, realistically designed for maximum 1 or 2 (small) people. Some practical improvements would include standard-sized dining chairs, a standard sized (cordless) kettle and standard sized coffee maker... (All of these were mini-size.) The lighting wasn't working properly (and not possible to check non-functioning lamp as socket locked from access)... The 'missing' toaster cost me precious time... I might stay again if a bit more care and logic was put into design and practicality.
