Location was central to everything.

The photos of the living room were amazing and this is why we booked as it looked beautiful However what you are not made aware of is the apartment shares it’s entrance with a sex shop ! Not great when you have a small child. The first night we had to squash two bugs in the main bedroom and it was a little run down with scuff marks and dust, main bed very uncomfortable and only provided with single sheets? On a double bed, the bathrooms great showers but only provided with one towel per person for 4 nights. All in all a beautiful apartment just needed a little love like the photos of the main living area showed.

The location is ideal to explore the city. The apartment is beyond beautiful, spacious (2 shower rooms with toilet and sink), ornate, decadent, it looks even better than it does on the photos! Giant chandelier in the living room, high ceilings with cornice, ambient lighting balcony overlooking the synagogue, lovely herring bone wooden floor... Everything we could possibly hope for, impossible to fault, great communication with owners. Would definitely call again! The bottle of wine for our arrival was a welcome surprise!

Fabulous apartment in a great central location with everything in walking distance. We arranged through the property managers for an airport transfer and were delighted with the service by our driver Peter (Piotr). On arrival at the property the entry to the building and the stairwell was not what we expected. What had clearly been a grand building has seen better days. The entrance and stairs have unfortunately been neglected over the years. However, the apartment was stunning and as our week went on we came to love the stairway’s character. The apartment is perfectly equipped and extremely comfortable. A wonderful place for us to stay on our 40th anniversary.

Initial unpleasant smell within the hallway of the apartment which appeared to emanate from the waste pipes of the downstairs shower room. When we contacted the property managers they immediately sent out a plumber to look at the issue. He told us that the issue was outwith the apartment. After running the water as advised the smell improved vastly. This was absolutely the only negative in what is a fabulous apartment. The response from the property manager was superb and they were extremely helpful.

What a great location of the apartment. You are really in the central spot and at a short walking distance to all good restaurants. The place has a lot of space and looks historical with a modern touch. The place has 2 full bathrooms with showers so that is a big plus. Right as you leave your place you have coffee shops, markets and bus/metro stops within 100-300m. There is an elevator to the apartment so it is comfortable if you have heavy suitcases.

Coming in the evening when it is dark and having to do a 'search quest' to find the key is not really great. I understand that it may be normal for Budapest but you have to consider people from other countries who dont use or havent seen the lock pads you have - so it is difficult to do that in the dark and with lots of people walking by. The lady on the phone was not patient and pretty condescending. I'd suggest add a sticker to those lock pads and maybe a picture sent to the future-guest so they know exactly what they should look for. Although the general feeling from the apartment is clean, the area where the bed is has a airconditioner at the same level and you can see it is dirty. Turning it on did not feel pleasant. The bedroom area is not really a room but more like a second-level section on the same floor. The bathroom there doesnt close well and the door is very heavy. (not a great thing when you travel with a work partner) Plus, there is a smell from the sewerage system. So not having a window nearby the 'bedroom' really kills the beautiful atmosphere the apartment has. Fixing the door and the smell and cleaning the air conditioner and bathroom air system would turn it into an amazing experience. PS; please consider the number of guests and amount of nights - to leave a comfortable amount of toiletries (aka toilet paper etc)
