Bright Eden Park two bed townhouse private parking

Great location. Place is very tidy and comfortable. Communication from Vince was top level.

We had 3 towels for 4 people. Also was only 1 tea towel that we could find.

Cost of stay was $170 NZD in September 2025 - reasonable for the area on a weeknight with nothing on at Eden Park. This unit is actually looks nicer on the inside than it is on the outside and comes with modern amenities. Quiet off street unit with nice neighbours who say hello. Very clean and enough towels provided. Easy walk to Dominion Road for dinner. Good parking spot for small/medium size car. Bike parking also accessible in the garage area. If you are attending an Eden Park event, this unit is ideal as it is just across the street. Prompt communication from owner with entry instructions. Please note the unit is more than functional but not a romantic getaway with a holiday home vibe and the 'landmark view' is someone else's backyard with a bunch of cars parked up. Comfy seating indoors is more aligned for two people stay rather than 4 people stay.

Beloved life-partner is a full-time snorer so it's a bonus to have separate rooms at night. Partner got the master bedroom, I got the one with the two single beds. Now I often find that single beds in personal home rentals (rather than hotels) are substandard... in that it's like the renter feels the master bed should be good but hey, kids in the back, it doesn't matter if the single beds are a little less than ideal. Only I am not a kid - I am a weight appropriate normal height adult and my sleep comfort matters very much if I want to have a good next day. Not that this was the case here, the mattress did not sink in the middle and springs were not poking through but... the bed was still not comfortable and every time I moved it made a sound until finally, I placed the mattress on the floor. I do not like sleeping on the floor, it reminds me of my 20s which were great fun but very much a time when I lived on little sleep. Not so nowadays, I need REM and it didn't happen so I suggest perhaps an upgrade might be needed here as I have just now gone back and read a few similar mentions in past reviews. Also worth noting if you are looking to relax on the balcony (as listed in 'Facilities') during hot summer months - we were unable to locate a balcony besides the small door entrance area and some steps so not sure about that. We did like the Arrivals and Departure Door mat though!

Easy to find. Very convenient location. Safe off street parking was great. The townhouse was clean and tidy, and had everything we needed. The owner was helpful and he responded to a query about wifi quickly and the problem was easily solved.
