Historic Village, Rare Find, Amazing Views

Location was excellent. Easy parking. Property was clean and tidy.

Lock box was located in a very difficult position. In order to get the keys and return them you had to balance on the top of a slope and move tree branches out of the way. It wasn't very easy to find on arrival either. As an older person I wouldn't have been able to get the key from the lock box if I hadn't had a younger companion with me. There were no instructions in the property for working any of the devices. The buttons on the oven were all worn away so there was guess work involved. EnSuite floor seemed to have a problem as the floor got damp for no apparent reason. No bedside tables in second bedroom.

The property is very located in Ballater and an easy walk around the town.

Very well located and very quiet

Some parts weren’t clean when we arrived (eg funny smell in living room and main dining table hasn’t been wiped down properly with food marks).

The place was uninhabitable for a confirmed booking. A 6pm arrival: property was not clean, untidy, bed not made, wet linen hanging throughout property and washing machine on with someone’s personal clothing. Hosts were unhelpful and when escalated as a complaint, they failed to identify the issues and remedy it.

Slight confusion between what the Booking.com App was providing me in terms on entry to the property instructions V's the instructions sent from the property manager - i'd suggest that these align to mitigate any confusion.

Couldn't connect to Wi-Fi

The location was good and staff were helpful with all issues.

The photos don't match. The instructions for hot water were incorrect as was the wifi details. The microwave gave us an electric shock, toilet in ensuite was leaking, water didn't drain from using washing machine. Beds were very small. Got hot in there with having to keep hallway heater on as per instructions.

It is well located and quiet and had the accommodation we needed.

We stayed here four years ago and it had clearly deteriorated. Lino in en-suite cracked, bathroom shelf needing replaced ,utensils and crockery needing replaced, paintwork needing redone. It felt a bit neglected. Given some care and attention it could be much nicer.
