My House Ahangama

The property is very serene. Very peaceful place in the jungle. The owners are very kind. I would highly recommend this homestay.

Everything was great.

Nice place tucked away from the main road, 2 min walk to surf break and many places to eat and get coffee around! Short scooter ride to main centre. We stayed in beautiful wooden hut with outdoor bathroom was so cute and cozy and had a nice little deck out the front! Surrounded by jungle was nice to wind down and relax after surfing! We had dinner one night which was delicious fish!! The owners are really helpful! With getting us a bike and helping us out with anything we needed! Would highly recommend if you want a chill out stay :)

Everything was good :) maybe people who go aren’t used to being in the outdoors might find difficult as there are insects which is normal as they live in this world too..

Ishan's house is the truest way to experience Sri Lanka. It's not a luxury getaway, it's an experience of being immersed in the jungle, as close to nature and as much in harmony with it and the life of the local Sri Lankans as you could possibly get. It's tucked away from the noise of the main street, but close enough to it for a quick coffee and morning walk to the Secret Beach. Ishan's family is the most welcoming, cheerful, and friendly. They will absolutely go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable during your stay in the most personal, real and unpretentious way. They'll make sure you're fed and happy and will troubleshoot anything that comes up. I booked four nights and ended up staying for ten, since I absolutely felt I had found my Sri Lankan home.

It's location is close to the beach and close to the town of Ahangama where the surf spots are. It's a little off the main strip so very peaceful . Ishan and his wife are great very responsive to anything that you need

There are a few mosquitos about the place but the staff always give coils but I'd recommend being prepared with some insect repellent

Dirty and extremely loud

The owners are so so lovely and very welcoming - nothing is too much trouble! The location is also excellent - close to town and set amongst a tropical garden 💕 would really recommend staying here if you are in Ahangama!

We liked the jungle feeling. The family is very friendly and showed us the garden. They even give us some mosquito spray because of the many mosquitos who really liked us.

The bathroom was not so clean. Not so nice was the very small and very dirty aquarium with fishes inside. Also they kept a lot of birds in a dark cage. As animal lover we didn't like that.

This was an amazing stay! It is such a beautiful cottage in the middle of the jungle. Isan and his wife are so caring and so lovely. They are cooking incredibly! I had my best fish there! I would definitely come again!

Super friendly locals, nice location, surrounded by nature, short walking distance to the beach and town, the host is very helpful and the food options for breakfast, lunch and dinner are amazing, freshly cooked and super delicious, good price, good wifi
