Communication with owner very poor, no heating in the property

Lovely apartment, plenty of space for the teenagers to have their own space. Located in a nice area.

Spacious house, well located for what we wanted to do. Clean beds and everything organised. We love the place, we feel like we’re at home. We were very well attended by the host and the team.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

The property was cheap and relatively accessible by bus and a walk to the tube.

Read the reviews before booking! Alas, on arrival at the property the heating wasn't on and the thermostat was actually broken. There were no instructions in the property and we had to phone to be told what to do. Likewise, the arrival instructions advised of TalkTalk wifi - well that didn't work - after further communication with the owner we were told there it was now Virgin Wifi - the arrival info needs to be updated and perhaps it would be beneficial to have this info somewhere in the property as well, even info advising about bins etc Without a working thermostat you couldn't change the temperature, esp in lounge where radiators point have thermostat.What else? The towels on the bed were damp. There was no dishwasher- despite being in listing. Don't hope to put things away in drawers or the cupboards-crammed with bedding such that you can't unpack - the bedding in the drawers in the back bedroom was damp! The light at bottom of stairs is broken-reported and stair carpet is dangerous- someone noted this in a review in August!!!There was only one loo roll-some were sent over, along with soap etc.The listing said a sofa bed - its actually a blow-up mattress, though there was no response to my questions as to where it was and we only found it on the final morning rammed into a cupboard behind things in upstairs room.There are only 3 dining chairs, we found another two in rooms.There were only four mugs, mismatched and chipped! We asked for more mugs and were advised we would get them the next day - never appeared.There are plates etc, all mismatched - loads of pans!If you want a tee towel- take your own!The washing machine upstairs was full of wet washing! Didn't get my deposit back promptly -had a problem with app, couldn't upload pic, and so it wasn't until I could log in to a computer that it worked and finally got money back.
