The property was a little damp as it’s a basement flat and the bath room was a nightmare to keep dry after a shower water got everywhere and seemed to keep coming back after I dried it up

Cleanliness and not enough airflow in the house.

Excellent value. Great facilities. Host really helpful and responded to email within seconds. Would stay again. St Leonard's beach is oy minutes from Hastings and much nicer.

Towels and bedding still clean but could be newer. I would bring my own next time.

Absolutely nothing in truth. The only half decent thing is the location that it's by the sea front.

We stayed here three nights.. you have to I quote "bash the lockbox" to get the key out as it gets stuck. The overwhelming smell of damp when you walk in. The radiators weren't on and nothing to turn them on. They provided plug in heaters but they only worked with WiFi on.. the WiFi doesn't reach the bedroom so we had to sleep in coats our first and second night! Even after complaining for two days they only sent someone out on our last night to sort out the heating and provided us with patio heaters that if my children got their fingers in they'd have burnt them off! Water coming through the ceiling from the house upstairs, the damp is coming from the bathroom and to our horror we had to deal with getting rid of lots of woodlice every day. I had to email or phone about something or other every single day and I am not usually a complainer. Paid £297 for the three nights and it just wasn't worth it. The trouble and grief we had to sort I don't feel like I've had a holiday at all. I have tried to escalate a complaint with them and they're now ignoring me and booking.com customer service. I wish I checked out on our first night it was absolutely horrific.

Booking.com did not send over the code for the lockbox but the host was amazing and replied to us very quickly with the code.

The apartment was very clean and tidy. Lovely toiletries provided. Very close to beach.

There was an overwhelming smell of damp on arrival. This did go once some ventilated but not a great welcome. It was quite clear on our confirmation that 4 people visiting yet sofa bed not made up and had to search for bedding which was screwed up in a drawer. This also felt damp. Sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Only 3 dining chairs when accomodating 4 people, only wine glasses and one tumbler available - not suitable for children and not enough for everyone to drink at same time! Only just enough crockery for us to eat together too. A stained grubby looking tea towel provided. WIFI shocking, even the tv kept turning off as connection dropped. No information on area but a sample book of headboard covers!!? We have stayed in many places of a similar cost and this was by far the worst. A little more attention to the small details and the property would have rated much higher.

Location was very close to the seafront. Location was not very pretty...not the fault of anyone. Generally all acceptable facilties.

Not a particularly great area. The flat was ok, it was clean. It was very warm and couldn't open bedroom window due to some coverage outside, so, it just had a slight damp aura to it. But nothing terrible. The TV was difficult to get going...just an irritation on arrival. Apart from the bathroom there were no mirrors anywhere which is a bit annoying when getting ready. It could do with a small coffee table. It was an acceptable stay for 2 nights.

Comfortable bed and spacious rooms. Nice bathroom.

Floor was rather uneven, wifi didn't work well for phones and bathroom light didn't switch off. People in the above apartment were also very noisy.
