"AMAZING PLACE TO STAY!"

Amazing place to stay for 3 nights while we attended Festival One at Hartford Farm. Warm welcome from Tracey and Reggie the friendly cat. Beautiful views, wonderful private 2 bedroom apartment at back of house...with everything you need...lovely homemade baking when we arrived and breakfast supplies and other snacks...really well looked after in so many ways. Even when the rain came and we left festival early on the Sunday..it was so wonderful to come back to the warm cosy apartment and rest, eat and play card games. Beds are so comfortable and rooms are warm and shower is great.Both rooms have great outlook to the nature surroundings. So peaceful and relaxing and quiet!! Our car had a flat battery when we were leaving today and Tracey kindly got her neighbour Blair to come and give us a jump-start. Thank you Blair again! If you are looking for a place to stay in the karapiro area....this is definitely the place to stay. Thank you Tracey and Shane for your great hospitality!!!! Missing this place already!!

"Amazing place with the best view"

Amazing place on the hilltop with the nicest hosts. The rooms are spotless clean and provide everything you need. We chose Above the River because it is so close to Hobbiton and our tour there started early but then it turned out to be the loveliest stay of our whole trip.

Tracey was a great host. She was kind enough to give us a chance to feed the sheep we all enjoyed a lot. My two kids had a lovely time with the cute kitten " Reggie' who hung up with us time to time. We'll had a great time in this beautiful place!
