Carvetii - Borthwick House - Ground floor flat

The noise on both nights from the apartment upstairs. The neighbour started vacuuming at 9 o’clock on both nights

Spacious leaving room, kitchen, nice clean bathroom. Good WiFi, Good working heating system.

Extremely noisy upstairs neighbours (running children from morning to late evening). The walls are very thin. Cleaning stuff does very basic job. Upholstered furniture, chairs in the living room, pillows need washing. Windows look like they haven't been cleaned for years. Furniture in the kitchen (cupboards, counter) need replacing. The outside area (staircase) is filthy - looks like none of the neighbours take care of it. The photos on bookin.com give much better impression than the reality

Comfortable, cosy lounge and bedrooms. Views (beyond the garages).

Exterior appearance - spoils first impression.

Not much, the bed was worst I have ever experienced for comfort, we left early to avoid a second night there.

Location was a somewhat run down Council estate. Bed was awful. Place is in need of decorating. Entrance to block of flats was filthy, rubbish all over place. Place is nothing like photos.

Terrible location no parking flat not nicely furnshied kitchen disgraceful could do with a good clean cooker fridge not working chipped dishes one chipped wine glass no oven or serving dishes had to wash everything before use TV buttons not working.

Good location . Great communication . Value for money.

It was a spacious comfortable flat nicely located.

The big fizzer was the lack of noise reduction from the flat upstairs. We could hear the TV on till after midnight way too clearly. In addition to this there was a young child running around seemingly on our heads till 2AM. I know you can't do much for this. But the fact that it was audible and consistent, it woke us up several times. The the mother couldn't get the child up for school at 8. So the screaming started. This was a real dampener on the experience.
