HOH - Hazel's Boudoir

It was fine. Interesting decor. Nice to have use of the BBQ and outdoor area.

The bathroom position is a little awkward when travelling with friends.

This accommodation should be for 2 people only! 4 adults with travel bags stayed at this property and could hardly move in the very squashed space. There is too much decoration eg loads of cushions which take up so much room one can’t sit on the couch - around and not enough practical stuff e.g. bedside tables . There is no cupboard space; clothes were hanging off rails. Sadly the room didn’t smell too good given the previous group cooked smelly food - not pleasant.

Beds were very comfortable, lounge and kitchen nice spaces

Communication was poor. No one answered calls. It wasn't clear how to get in to the property. The email with instructions didn't arrive until the next day. We had asked to have our daughter stay in our room on an inflatable mattress, which was nice they said yes to this when we got hold of them on the phone after 3 phone calls. Were told they would help sort bed or bedding for her but nothing had been done to accommodate this. We arrived at dark and check through our arrival info and couldn't find how to get in, found a sentence in an email from booking.com with lock box number and saying we would receive an email 2 days before we arrived with all the info - never did. When we were trying to find it, no one answered the phone. The smaller room we were in was so hot we couldn't sleep - not sure if a heater was on.

Ot is beautiful and very neat and tidy.

When there are 3 people, and it is cold outside, the seating inside is not really sufficient to have a cozy evening watching television. Or if there was a place outside where you could make a fire, you could all sit outside

Opulent funky decor - much nicer than the usual bland approach! And well presented and with thoughtful touches. We were comfortable and enjoyed the space.

Some storage in the bedroom areas would have been good. In addition, the soundproofing is not great. Within the property, you can hear clearly into the shared bathroom whenever someone uses it, which is awkward. And this property adjoins another rental, and unfortunately on the night we stayed the people using the adjoining rental were exceptionally noisy and thoughtless. We were kept awake when they arrived at 11.30pm with the sounds of doors slamming, people stamping and dragging suitcases, and full-volume conversations for a good half an hour. We then got woken up at 7am the next day by their extended departure performance with extra yelling. The main door of the adjoining property is right by the main bedroom of the boudoir, so those of us using that room did not sleep well!
