Bridgehaven Guesthouse

Received the check in instructions couple of days prior to our arrival. Directions were clear. Our flight got in late and from Auckland Airport, took us about 2 hours to get to the location. By the time we arrived, it was dark but it was not an issue. After a long flighr and drive, it is the close to being home. It was comfortable and pleasant. Continental breakfast was already there waiting foe us. The property was tidy, clean. The surroundings really peaceful and quiet. Very quiet in fact. The unit itself was very spacious, has everything we needed for our short stay. Kitchen had the essentials. It was clean and neat. Wifi provided. Books. Movies. Board games. Extra bedding and pillows. Water pressure was adequate and decent. Bed comfortable. The property was about 11 minutes from Hobbiton, 15 minutes from the closest town. Sure we could have stayed in a hotel or motel but it would not have the space nor the essential and basics for our convenience. We had our privacy. Thank you Bridgehaven for having us.

Nothing to dislike.

They gave us a very generous breakfast. There’s a huge loaf of fresh baked bread, 3 fresh jam, a full bottle of milk, cereal, orange juice, and yogurt.

The decor was a little too plain, leaving a little less inviting atmosphere.

A/C only covers living room, would have liked to have it in bedroom.

Set in an idyllic location and very quiet. The accommodation was well maintained, clean and had everything you needed. Breakfast was provided with an assortment of foods. Would recommend this as a great place to stay and central to just about anywhere you would want to go.

A lovely and relaxing stay - a perfect place to unwind after a busy day doing the Waitomo caves and Hobbiton. It was clean, spacious and modern with great cooking facilities. The freshly baked bread was a lovely touch.
