TSUMUYA

The house itself is beautiful - authentic, comfortable, and full of character. We loved the thoughtful decor, interesting furniture, and the incredible collection of books. It felt like staying in a real home rather than a holiday rental.

Everything was great! We loved it.

Wonderful location, quiet, across the street from the marina area, very close to the bus stop. You can walk to the yellow pumpkin very easily. Hosts kindly made reservations for us for dinner at Okonomiyaki restaurant within walking distance, and picked up our luggage at the ferry port. House was very comfortable for three people and nicely decorated with all kinds of quirky modern art. We loved looking at the book collection, which gave us so much information about the artists and architect involved in the museums we visited.

There was nothing we didn't like. It was a bit difficult to find, but that was our navigation. It had everything we needed, and we would have loved to stay another day or two to fully enjoy the island. For Naoshima in general -- be aware that there are two ferry ports -- the larger port (Miyanoura) and the smaller port (Honmura) (not a ferry, but a large boat). The smaller Honmura port only has a few boats going out daily.

Not suited for a very tall family as ours, the location is a little bit remote if you want to have a Coffe or lunch, you have to walk or ride to the other village.

It was a large older house with lots of space. Kept extremely clean and tidy. The washing machine was also very handy and they provided racks to dry the clothes. Nice stainless steel bathtub as well. And - lots and lots of art books from Naoshima and around the world. The owners were incredibly friendly. They picked up our luggage in the morning, helped make dinner reservations on the island and even drove us to and from dinner. Wow! I’ve stayed at a lot of Airbnb/vrbo’s and this was the best service by far.

Een enorm gezellig Japans huis, met alle faciliteiten die je nodig hebt. De eigenaren waren enorm behulpzaam, echt fantastisch. Ze hadden ook restaurants en fietsen voor ons gereserveerd. Het huis ligt fantastisch om alle kunstsites te bezoeken

Altes Haus mit teilweise schönen Räumen. Lage sehr gut. Die Gastgeber waren äusserst freundlich und hilfsbereit (Gepäcktransport von und zu der Fähre, die Mietvelos standen bei der Fähre bereit).

Beautiful property. Very comfortable and well located. House has everything you need plus lots of great art books. Kuni and Akki, the hosts, were very kind and helpful. If you stay ask them to get you a reservation at Perma. It was an amazing dinner.

Quiet location overlooking a bay and fishing boats. This comfortable home was tastefully decorated and featured an excellent library of art and photography books. Our hosts were both friendly and helpful.
