"An exceptional experience."

The house is exceptionally beautiful in a traditional Japanese way, exceptionally quiet and extremely well located, walking distance to restaurants, beach, and main museums which are Naoshima’s main attraction. The host came to meet us in person at the ferry terminal to show us the way to the house (10 minutes bus ride + 1 minute walk). I cannot think of a better place to be based to explore Naoshima.

"Really comfortable and spacious, quiet location, lovely hosts."

Traditional Japanese with retro feel. Loved the space and all the art books. Hosts picked us up and dropped us off at the port which we really appreciated

"Quirky comfortable arty house"

Very quirky. Fantastic library of art and design books. Good value for the island. Picking up luggage from wharf was an added bonus.

Screens between sleeping areas were missing. Two couples were in on one space.

"A traditional Japanese house furnished in 'mid-century' retro. Perfect."

It was self catering. Location was perfect. Quite village street with a view of the little harbour. Walking distance to the Benesse complex and bus stop within a 100 meters.

There was nothing I didn't like about the property
