The house was amazing and the hosts were lovely and had taken great care of it, including cleanliness. It is situated very close to all of the Benesse art sites as well as the Art House project.

Kuni and Akkie san were amazing hosts. They were quick to reply, had fantastic recommendations, and really helped make my trip to Noashima easy and enjoyable. Highly highly recommend! The property was also fantastic with all the amenities required, nice and clean with a short bike ride to many locations on the island.

"Excellent house in a great location"

Lovely, traditional well equipped comfortable house next to a quiet and peaceful port. The house had some fascinating design and art features. The hosts were very welcoming, friendly and would do anything to help you. There was good access to the art museums and galleries around Naoshima. Highly recommended.

"A magical stay on a wonderful island."

The hosts were very kind, picking up our luggage from Honmura port and advising us at the time of booking on the necessity to pre-book some of the art galleries; also advising about local (very good) restaurants and a nearby festival. By Japanese standards the house is enormous, it is charmingly authentic and extremely conveniently positioned for the bus/galleries/beach.

Nothing to dislike.

Everything was perfect and I can only recommend Tsumuya. You get to live in a traditional accommodation in a quiet area. The hosts were also lovely and helped us with everything we needed.

"House in a quiet fishing village centrally located - great hosts!"

The hosts were really great and met us at the ferry to take our luggage back to the house. This allowed us to rent bicycles right away at the port and start our exploration of the island. The house itself is in a quiet fishing village close to the beach and yellow pumpkin. It felt like a home out of time with the added bonus of contemporary art books. The hosts also gave us great dinner recommendations which we greatly appreciated!
