TSUMUYA

Our hosts, Kunie and Akkie were excellent. There was great communication prior to arrival and Kunie and Akkie provided recommendations for our itinerary and also booked restaurants for us. Our stay was an authentic traditional experience, with the benefit of having the whole house to ourselves. Kunie and Akkie met us on arrival at the port and took our luggage to the house, so that we could ride the hire bikes to the galleries. They also dropped us back at the port on our day of departure. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay!

It was a bit hard to find the house initially. A map was provided to us, however a bit more detail with specific instructions would have helped. Perhaps pictures of the property and of the main intersections near the house would have been great.

We had the most wonderful stay at TSUMUYA. Kuni and Akkie are the perfect hosts. Excellent communication. Our luggage was picked up on arrival and also for our return trip. Wonderful apartment away from the masses. An old charismatic home with heating in a quiet part of the island and wonderful local food in local restaurants all arranged by Kuni and Akkie. The exhibitions are incredibly absorbing as are the art books in the house! I’d have stayed another week just to absorb them all… We hired a couple of electric bikes and rode around the island which was bliss. We were very lucky as we had three days of gorgeous Spring sunshine 🌞

Fabulous property and exceptional communication. The electric bikes necessary to get around the island , very easy cycling

We stayed in the middle of winter so found the property a little cold , but it was well equipped with heat pumps

Hosts were lovely - picked us up from ferry, made dinner bookings and took us places.

Excellent location.A short walk to the yellow pumpkin and the Benesse art site free shuttle bus.

Some windows had frosted glass which blocked the sea view.

It is very well maintained and cozy. The host ensure we are comfortable and warmed. Host also recommended a few good restaurants for dinners and they were really good food.

We were a little lost trying to find the property as we didn’t take the bus but we walked from the museum. Would be good to provide more details
