Luxury 2BDR in the Heart of Valletta! TV and WiFi

The location was really the high point of this stay, at the end of one of the main streets in Valletta. Bedrooms and shower were comfortable and very quiet.

The living room and kitchen were almost impossible to stay in, due to the heat and humidity (really a problem for us, coming from colder european countries). We weren’t able to connect to normal tv, despite trying many times. We did watch Netflix, but as I said, impossible to stay much longer, so we went to bed much earlier as usual, since the rooms were well refrigerated. Kitchen looks nice, but is so humid it has a smell and is missing several basic items, like a dish rack, garbage can, salt, etc. For a stay longer than a weekend, we expected it to have the basics. With a few adjustments, it can certainly be improved.

Easy check in. Nice area to walk and very central. Property clean and tidy - steps up to bedrooms and down to kitchen but plenty of space. Only stayed one night so didn’t use the kitchen.

We walked a short distance to a cafe for breakfast. the property is close to cafes shops and the harbour. It's also a short walk to the bus station.

Nothing the property was perfect for our stay

The location is ideal. Away from the crowds yet close enough to access all the major sites, restaurants,and transportation points. The kitchen was well set up, and there was ample space for the whole family. The upstairs bedrooms were very comfortable and of a good size. The air conditioner was a godsend in the heat.

There was a distinct mouldy smell in both the kitchen and lounge area that required constant management of the humidifier.

The bedrooms were bright and airy

The basement and ground floor were extremely damp and smelt of damp. This was overpowering especially in the kitchen in the basement. It was so bad that it made it impossible to cook/eat in the kitchen and use the kitchen facilities. Had to empty the dehumidifier twice a day. Pictures in the lounge on the ground floor were crinkled due to the damp. The stairs were dark and dangerous especially the landing area between the bedrooms, not suitable for children, the elderly or people with mobility problems. Surprised if stairs covered for Public Liability due to the design.

Central location and good size.

I recently booked a stay at the Luxury Property in the Hearth it Valletta in Malta for a significant occasion, my anniversary. Unfortunately, the experience was an absolute nightmare, leaving me deeply dissatisfied and frustrated. The property was advertised as luxurious, but it was anything but. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a dirty and humid environment that was far from the promised standards. The conditions were unbearable, and despite three nights of discomfort, we had no choice but to find alternative accommodation at great expense for the final 3 nights of our trip. Whilst staying you are expected to run 2 dehumidifiers just to stay on top of the 80%+ humidity. What made matters worse was the host's response when we tried to address the issue. Instead of acknowledging their false advertising (the listing also states there is a terrace- this is untrue), they resorted to blackmail, demanding a 5-star review in exchange for a partial refund. Such unprofessional behavior is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on both the host and Booking.com. When we challenged this they claimed we had been the ones acting inappropriately and no doubt will probably comment on this review to the same effect. I am deeply disappointed in Booking.com's handling of this matter. As a long-time customer, I expected better customer service and support. It is clear that the integrity of the platform has been compromised by allowing such misleading listings and failing to address the concerns of guests promptly and adequately. I urge future travelers to exercise extreme caution when considering a booking at this property. The misleading advertising, unclean conditions, and lack of customer care make it an unacceptable choice for a pleasant and comfortable stay. In conclusion, I give this property a 1-star rating despite being ideally located. This is justified by the false advertising, unclean conditions, unprofessional behavior of the host.

The property was easy to access, clean and the beds were comfortable.

The property was not as described on the website; " ground floor apartment with a terrace ". It is in fact a split level apartment with a lower ground floor kitchen and first floor bedrooms and shower-room. So if you have any mobility issues this isn't the place for you. In addition there is no terrace only a small casement balcony off one of the bedrooms which just about seats two if you can perch on a bar stool. The lack of any outside space apart from the pavement by the front door was disappointing.
